Really, there's only one Easy Company member left living? Wow.

Uh..uh...uh...uh...staying alive. Or not.

Robert Stigwood, who managed the Bee Gees at the peak of their career and produced one of the defining films of the 1970s in "Saturday Night Fever", has died at the age of 81.

For all you classical music aficionados... Pierre Boulez.

PARIS—French composer and conductor Pierre Boulez, a one-time director at the New York Philharmonic in the 1970s, died on Tuesday at his home in Baden-Baden, Germany. He was 90 years old.

The death of Mr. Boulez, who led the New York orchestra from 1971 to 1977, was confirmed by his family in a statement to the Philharmonie de Paris, the French capital’s top concert hall.

Mr. Boulez’s career was a multifaceted one on the classical music scene. He was a prolific composer with a wide range of works, a sought-after conductor and an influential arts administrator as founder of France’s contemporary music center while also leading the charge over three decades to build a new orchestral hall for Paris.

His recordings garnered him 26 Grammy Awards, and last year he was given a lifetime-achievement award to mark his career.

Currently on youtube, there's a posting of the complete, as far as I know, BBC broadcast of Bowie's performance at their theater in 2000 for his fan club, that was included as a bonus disc on the limited edition version of the Bowie at the Beeb cd release. I am so glad I bought that edition, as this performance is just amazing; a terrific band, and beautifully recorded. Includes an absolutely killer version of Absolute Beginners, which i never thought much of before, but this performance is stunning. Sadly the cd included only the music, and no DVD of the actual show, which you can see here. The cd included a couple more tracks, but here at least you can see the between song chat that was omitted from that version for space reasons.

Not sure how long it'll stay up, so if you've got a free hour to watch, it's well worth it.
