The Dead Thread 2024

The house was intentionally set on fire and they had received multiple threats of that prior to. They also were grieving over the fact that someone had placed the skulls of their dogs in their harnesses and hung them.

It wasn’t “an argument with a neighbor”, it was a hate crime.

Can we bring back "waste people" as an epithet for total human garbage like this? Or would that be too mean?

Just got back from Bangkok after attending to services for the passing of my father-in-law who I have known as 'Dad' for 28 years. Patti is still there to help with so many things, the least of which is trying to figure out how Mom is going to get along after 60 years of marriage to her best friend.

My parents have been married for 64 years and while neither have any known health issues that would lead to think of the worst at this time, it really makes you think. A lot.

He was such a great man and I miss him.

I’m sorry.
I’m completely broken from losing my two best friends still. Can’t imagine a parent
