BTW, Willow showed upon my cable system in 2013, so my first exposure to the Ashes was the 5-0 Aussie blowout in the 13-14 series. Mitch Johnson became a favourite. Then, because Willow is subcontinent based, I saw a lot of India and Pakistan and the IPL became a staple in the spring.

One of my theories in life is that you can't sing the 'Mitchell Johnson song' and not have a smile on your face. It honestly derailed his career for awhile but he got his revenge during that horrible series. It's too bad you didn't start watching earlier as you missed a lot of great players who retired in the five or so years leading up to when you got started.

Australia completes the Ashes sweep of England 4-0 (1 drawn). The Urn returns to Oz.

I believe they do it again this summer in Blighty.

England play Pakistan and India at home this summer. The next Ashes series is summer of 2019. The world cup is that summer in England as well.

And the verdict is in:
Captain Steve Smith - 1 year ban
Vice Captain David Warner - 1 year ban
Bowler Cameron Bancroft - 9 month ban

In addition, Smith and Bancroft will have an additional 12 months before they can seek a team leadership position. Warner will never be considered again.

All 3 must perform 100 hours of community service in cricket.

AB de Villiers (South African batsman) has announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket.

****. The man had a way with the bat and was just see viewing when his turn came.

One has to be impressed with the British empire just dueto the fact that their former colonies play cricket (outside the US of course)

Though mookie has taken a liking to watching. The IPL has cheerleaders after all. And even this test now with pak and eng is entertaining

Yesterday Chennai (Madras) won the Indian Premier League (T20) over Hyderabad.

And Pakistan slaughtered England in a Test match that used up about half of the allotted 5 days.

Good day for cricket.

Thanks. I was wondering how they're performing without Smith, Bancroft, and everyone involved in the cheating scandal.

Well, England returned the favour to the tourists, whipping Pakistan by an innings and 55 runs. The two test series was drawn 1-1.

BTW an innings and X runs means you won while batting only once and you opponent in their two innings of batting fell X runs short of your total.

In other words, you got whupped.

Next up for England- Scotland for One Day International (ODI).

Strange where England has done so poor at Leeds in recent times.
