Re: The College Hockey Championship Belt Part IV
Thanks greatly. That means that it was right before I recently thought that I messed it up. This Belt lists as you wrote:
11/19/2016 Alaska Anchorage defeated Michigan Tech in shootout Alternate Belt
12/02/2016 Northern Michigan
12/09/2016 Alabama Huntsville
12/31/2016 Mercyhurst
10/20/2017 Ferris State
10/21/2017 Mercyhurst
10/27/2017 Bentley
10/28/2017 Mercyhurst
12/08/2017 American International
12/09/2017 Mercyhurst
10/19/2018 Ferris State
10/20/2018 Mercyhurst
I don't know what made me suddenly insert RMU. My list of eligible schools is as follows:
Alabama-Huntsville
Alaska
Alaska Anchorage
American International
Bemidji State
Bentley
Denver (1979-1998)
Ferris State
Findlay
Lake Superior
UMass Lowell Not any more
Mercyhurst
Merrimack
Michigan Tech
Minnesota Duluth
Minnesota State
Nebraska Omaha (1997-2012)
North Dakota (1951-2008)
Northern Michigan
St. Cloud State
Wayne State
Ralph, it looks to me like Mercyhurst still holds the D-II belt. RMU is a D1 school so the loss on 12/16 wouldn't have affected the D-II belt. Mercyhurst lost to RMU the next night, then to Air Force (also a D1 school) on 1/6/18. They tied AIC on 1/20 but it appears there was no shootout, and lost to RIT (a D-III school) on 2/12. They lost in the AH semis to RMU again. They lost this year to BGSU and Miami (both D-1 schools), then to Ferris State on 10/19. They then beat FSU the next night, and left town with the belt. It appears the next defense will be @ Bentley on 11/30.
