Harvard and Yale's numbers are artificially inflated by not wanting to take the 2 week train ride west to play teams in the early 1900's :p

The Ivy Shootout will have set opponents. I can't remember who Yale plays for the NE belt, but it should be listed on the schedules thread.

My eyes jumped to the second Yale v somebody line in the list forgetting (somehow) that they owned the ECAC Belt. So, when you put in that Yale was playing Princeton for the Ivy Belt, I had thought that the first Yale v Princeton was for the Ivy and the second was for the New England Belt.

I need to get my eyes checked (oh wait, I just did that today! uh oh :o )

Someone proposed here (many years ago now) that there could be a hypothetical Belt that was passed around between hockey teams like wrestling Belts. IIRC, it was awarded to the NCAA champion one year. It would be transferred to whoever defeated them. Ties would be ignored. One off-season, some of us decided that we could trace the Belt backwards. Eventually, we got back to the first Princeton-JHU game. The league and state Belts are analogous.

Edit: and alternate Belts are awarded to shootout winners and when the Belt doesn't get to the NCAA champion team, which can only happen now if one of the bottom two HEA schools has it at the end of the regular season.

Yes, especially if a school that is leaving a conference has that conference's Belt. MSU had the WCHA Belt when it left that league, so there is precedent. That could happen again.
