Ralph, do you remember who lost the games on 12/1/61 that awarded the three ECAC Belts? Bowdoin has a history section for their hockey team, but it doesn't include game-by-game results.

Results can be looked up for Clarkson and BU (as well as UNH for the start of the HEA Belt, CC for the WCHA Belt, and Michigan Tech for the Michigan Belt (although, that's presumably over Michigan)) to allow for consistent display.

I remember reading in the original thread who Bowdoin, Clarkson, and BU played on the first day of ECAC play, but it's been lost in the purge. I know Sean posted it originally, but I was hoping that maybe you still had the information somewhere.

In this era of trophies for everyone, should there be an Eastern D-III play-up belt? I would think Union holds it, by virtue of their win over RPI in the ECAC QF (who beat CCT in the 1st round)

I don't remember. Sean probably could reconstruct it.

Bowdoin beat Dartmouth.
Clarkson beat Yale.
BU beat Providence.

For the others you mentioned:
UNH beat Maine (and later forfeited the game...)
CC beat Denver
Michigan Tech beat Michigan

My intentions are to start a new WCHA belt the first day that any games are played between nWCHA schools. There will probably be more than one such game, but they should be unified during the season. The current belt will also eventually be won by a nWCHA team and this wil; be followed also. It can't be transferred however to another school that is leaving the WCHA. There is precedent since MSU had the WCHA when they left the WCHA in 1981. (See that in one of the posts at the start of this thread.) I am open to other suggestions.
