The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

What did Frank win in his second stint?

The undying love and adoration of one poster calling themselves "truth squad"...

Oh.. ah-hhemmm... *clears throat*
NMU SUCKS!

There... all better now..
:D
Go Lakers!
And safe travels to anyone road tripping for the games this weekend.

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

Too bad we couldn't combine programs, lol!!! Then we all could get along!!:)

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

It was a joke!!! It seems like everytime these two teams play in the Soo its always cold as h...! Not making the trek 4 hours northward...

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

Depending on the roads I will more than likely be visiting the Laffy Taffy tomorrow night. Saturday back to Marquette and then Milwaukee in the same day. Better be worth the trip!!!

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

Do any of your fine NMU fans know when we have a game televised on FSD?

There is a large contingent of NMU alum's out here in the Valley and I am planning a get together.

Thanks

Looks like the worst of the snow has passed. Safe travels to the team and any fans heading that way today! :)

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

Winning both of these games gives us a full head of steam going into Tech weekend. That lose earlier in the season still really ticks me off.

Let's Go Cats!

Is Olver back?

Billy, to answer an earlier question:

http://www.ccha.com/schedules/tv_schedule.aspx

2/6/10 Northern Michigan at Ferris State 7:35 p.m. FS Detroit Plus
2/19/10 Northern Michigan at Michigan 7:35 p.m. FS Detroit Plus

We're on the alternate channel because the Pistons will be on FS Detroit.

I wonder if we were to plan a gathering out here, if that would effect us? When you watch FSD in another viewing area is there an alternate channel?

I just talked to the President of the Alumni Association who lives out here and he'd like to do something for the game.

If the Bar/Restaurant/Gathering Place has DirecTV, they *should* get the alternate channels, Dish doesn't seem to carry it:

DirecTV - FS Detroit 663, FS Detroit Alternate 664
Dish Network - FS Detroit 430

Also, both look like they'll be carried on Fox College Sports Atlantic; most cable co's carry the FCS channels instead of individual regional networks.

Check with your local establishment to verify they get one of those channels.

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

Hopefully more NMU fans will make the trek to the Sault this year. Hardly anyone came last December.
here.

Maybe if your fans were a bit nicer and didn't assault the NMU fans in the bathrooms or throw food at them you would see more NMU fans making the trek to the Sault. Though this has been covered multiple times before I'm sure your SSMRCMCMT education prevents you from understanding how the actions of your fans tend to put off NMU fans from making the trek.

I miss making the drive over to the Soo for a game. :(

I find Laker fans to be very good hockey fans. Granted they don't care for the noise and hoopla that NMU fans sometimes bring. The only time I've had any problems have been when I've been making a racket. You just have to know the atmosphere you're going into.

Hopefully this will be a weekend full of good hockey.

FYI: It is 5 degrees warmer in the Soo right now than in Marquette. Wonders never cease.

I am planning on making the drive over tomorrow night, is there anywhere in particular NMU fans should sit?

What's the point of going if you can't cheer for your team? And your excuse of that just being their atmosphere is ridiculous. There's no excuse for how they treat visiting fans that are vocal about supporting their team.

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

I've never found LSSU fans to be overly aggressive. I went to several games there when I was a student and the crowds were pretty lame.

It could have had something to do with the fact that we always beat them...

Now Tech fans on the other hand...:D

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

If you plan on cheering I suggest you just stay home.

HAHAHAHA.....

The people I'm coming with and myself are going to be loud and proud. If people try to start anything with us I wish them good luck although I doubt it will help them.

Re: The Battle for the Cappo Cup, pt 1: NMU @ LSSU

The group I went with usually sat behind/next to the NMU bench. Comp tickets for players family are located here, so you'll be among fellow Wildcat fans.
