Ah yes, the Maine special. Surrender the tying goal and then take 5 and a game less than 10 seconds later. Brilliant.

Oh boy, AD made his first stain on things. Cheerleaders in student section.
Give me a break.

5 min major, figures. Poisson.
These guys still have discipline issues.

Alfond is pretty empty tonight.....too bad. Maine leads 1-0.

1-1. ....and goodbye Poisson.

It was amusing to hear Mike Tuell say a key was getting the "best crowd in college hockey" into the game. Maine hasn't had the best crowd since the Alfond was renovated in 1992. Good student section, yes. But general crowd? No.

More classic Maine: killing 7 straight minutes of penalties only to allow the go ahead goal just after the PP expires. These last several games just have been so yucky, feels like nothing has changed from the Red era lately. Maine takes so many majors.

There hasn’t been one good performance since Christmas. Hopefully they get better as the second half goes on but it has been pretty ugly so far.

I don't know if I agree with that. Beating Lowell was a good game, and they did sweep Anchorage who was coming off sweeping Lowell themselves. I was talking more about last weekend on Comm Ave and the first stretch of this game.

Somehow Maine leads 3-2 with 5 to play...

Edit: 4-2 with 4:04...

Waved off. For some reason.

Still 3-2.

Felt like they tried to give it away after the 4th goal got taken off the board, but they manage to secure the win. Quite a inconsistent game, but I'd call that a good win nonetheless.
