I love Melrose for all the wrong reasons. It's like dating a girl you just know is going to cheat on you, but she's so hot you don't care so long as you get some too.

I finally got this late in his 2nd game last night. Honestly though would it impact his busy schedule, or that of any of the other ESPN regional announcers, to actually watch at least the conference tournaments, maybe even peruse the team's media guides, at least the player name pronunciation section?

Are he and Bucci not doing the FF this year? I met both of them in Pittsburgh. Bucci couldn't have been nicer, Mullet couldn't give me the time of day.

Bucci is definitely the PbP voice for it. It's in his ESPN contract. Which sucks IMHO because Gary Thorne is the true voice of college hockey on ESPN in my mind.

I've never had to listen to Melrose because I've always been in the rink. I have heard enough of him the last two days to last a lifetime. Ugh!

Both Union and BC have a very good franchise.

BC leads the nation in oh-fence.

The next goal could be critical.

Now would be a good time to call a timeout.

The team winning the faceoff has the puck.

Perhaps but those people aren't being paid to commentate the game and have an excuse for not realizing college hockey has hybrid icing. I am surprised Bucci didn't realize it was not icing though.

Maybe so, I am sure it is hard watching the game and speaking as the puck is in play. After all its not football, basketball or baseball, when the ball is not in play all the time.

He referred to the Minnesota cheerleaders as the "Minnesota figure skaters".
