The 59th Annual Beanpot Tournament

Re: The 59th Annual Beanpot Tournament

Orsillo has done the Pot before (and not just in his time at NU)

Re: The 59th Annual Beanpot Tournament

Another obvious goal waived off against BU. Riiiiiiiight. Can't wait to see how Terrier fans spin this one.

Terrier fan here. Should have been a goal for BC. The overhead is inconclusive since you can not see it even though you know it is there across the line. However, the above angle shot they were showing on TV definitely showed the puck cross the goal line.

I personally can not wait to see how BC fans spin this. Will this be another BU-Lowell 2009 HE Final disaster? I hope so!

LOL

you just admitted that it was a goal, so where would the spin from BC fans come into play?

Personally, I've seen this way too many times in the Pot and I never expected that to be called a goal for BC. It is what it is. They've been able to overcome it before.

Re: The 59th Annual Beanpot Tournament

I'm kind of surprised there are no goal cams. That would have been the best view and confirmed the puck was over the line.

BC has no one to blame for this performance, however. BU is getting to all the loose pucks. BU will bag a goal in the first 5 minutes of the period and the Garden will empty out quickly thereafter.

Re: The 59th Annual Beanpot Tournament

If the guys up top were showing what we were seeing on TV, something doesn't smell right. Even the announcers were saying that was enough evidence for a goal.

Well said JD. I agree with every word.

The spin will come from BC fans thinking Parker is paying off the refs. Or some other shenanigans. It's why I brought up the BU-Lowell game from 2009. Those refs have been awfully quick on their whistles for BU too. What do BC fans have to say about that?

Ha, BC fans aren't the only ones who joke about that stuff. Give me a specific situation of something that happened and I'll give you an opinion. Haven't seen any quick whistles in this game that come close to a review of a goal/no goal situation.

Re: The 59th Annual Beanpot Tournament

It's a little hard for me to understand why some of you are talking about this like it's a bad thing.
