I like Miami. Talking about unfinished business. Wisco goaltending is gonna cost em.
I can't pick Miami after the choke job last year

Would love to see RIT win it, but I have Wisconsin beating Miami... Muse's play of late can only be described as shaky and I don't see BC hanging a big # on Miami (regardless of who they throw in net) like they were able to do vs. maine and yale...

I see RIT like Bemedji last year, just happy to be there. 2 weeks off is going to kill them. BCs goaltending is their weak point

Re: The 3rd official 09-10 Maine season thread: Bubble-icious

Yeah the two week layoff sucks. No need for it.

There is a need for the time off for both the fans and schools who made it to the Frozen Four. Some teams didn’t find out until the Sunday that they were in the semis on Thursday. Fans and schools had to scurry around for rooms, charters, flights etc. It was truly a nightmare. The extra time is much appreciated, additionally hockey didn't want to be butting heads with basketball.

You're right, still sucks tho. Just like I hate the two weeks before the Superbowl.

Are tickets cheaper or are there less home games? I know this is close to what I paid for each seat last year, especially since I'm sure they're not including their "processing fee" or whatever it is in this total.

I have no idea

Yeah but you gotta feel for em. Redemption is a powerful motivator.

Anyone else remember the 2001 regional when Maine had that last minute comeback against Minnesota?

That might be relevant to this discussion somehow. :o :(

of course, a national title by itself is also a powerful motivator

Last year was the introduction of the payment plan. Four monthly payments including the single $6.00 processing fee equaled $690.00 for two season tickets. This year the total for two would be $654.00 including the $6.00 handling fee. If my numbers and math are correct, that's a reduction of $36.00 for two season tickets over last year. I assume the number of home games is similar. Last year there were 20 home games including the St. Lawrence game in Portland.

Im with gscott here....I like Miami over BC and Wisco over RIT. Had originally picked Wisco to win it all, but on second thought, that first NC is a tremendous motivator, so I'll pick Miami to win it all.

Maybe we're getting another $1 off per ticket. Instead of $18 a seat they're $17 now

2 years ago the tickets weren't worth the cardboard they were printed on, so they felt bad and lowered the price:cool:

I was there for that one. One of the best hockey games I've ever seen.

same... about ten rows back behind the net where maine scored the tying and winning goals...

Must've been awesome watching Marty shovel that puck over to Schutte right at the goal line, with almost no time left on the clock at all. From where I was, all you could see was a jumble of bodies and then arms going up in the air.

Agree though, one of the best games I've ever seen. That, the 1993 NC game, and the 3OT Michigan game have to be the tops.

You bet it is and don't forget the Brendan Burke factor. I'm going with Miami all the way with Rico and the Red Hawks walking away with the hardware.

I was at ice level inside the blue line, with a great view of that goal. It was insanity. How he had the poise to pass that over with basically no time on the clock was beyond me.
