Or he could just move to Nevada.

Presuming golfers are taxed like other professional athletes, they pay state taxes in every state where they win prize money. Moving would only help with his non-winnings income (which, granted, is likely considerable).

Assuming the state has an income tax. ;)

It was obviously your fault for expecting that level of critical thinking and reading comprehension from those people.

Yeah it doesnt take reading comprehension to get the point, and it doesnt take someone with your level of douchy arrogance to realize the point is on the top of geezers head.

Stop fretting, no one is taking away your guns and Stalin isnt coming with his Stache of Death to kill you. Seriously, it isnt going to happen. The sooner you and the Tinfoil Hate Brigade get that the safer we will all be.

Re: The 2nd Term - Round 1 - Diving for Dollars

but the whole faux outrage over whether the poster correctly applied the situation to Native Americans sure changed the subject from the original link...1 point extra for the "thank god you mentioned Hitler, now I can refuse to address anything other than your attempt to relate this to Hitler". (cause that is exactly what the other guy was trying to do...relate it directly to Hitler 1:1)

At this stage of board evolution, all people do is attack the analogy, any analogy, not the point.

It is a great defense mechanism... "the XX analogy doesn't apply here at all, so I'm not even going to respond". Doesn't matter if it does apply perfectly or they misinterpreted the use...because next you get the "La, La La, I'm not listening, you said Hitler, La, La La" response.

I wasnt outraged, I said it was stupid :D I also said all of you gun nuts/owners should be allowed to shoot each other and be castrated if there is non-gunowners hurt in the crossfire ;)

Re: The 2nd Term - Round 1 - Diving for Dollars

Don't tell me you're one of these people who think Adolph Hitler was actually Kermit Roosevelt!!:D
Seriously though, on the subject of banned history subjects, I don't see why liberals feel it's OK to discuss Stalin or Pol Pot, but Hitler is strictly off-limits (and Wounded Knee appears to be headed for that shelf as well). Does anyone have an actual reason? I honestly don't know, maybe has something to do with antisemitism?

It isnt Liberals saying you cant discuss Hitler, it is everyone saying "everyone talks about Hitler too much". (aka Godwin's Law) Liberals call Dubya Hitler, Teabaggers call Obama Hitler, frakshows who go on Piers Morgan call the Federal Government Hitler...guess what none of them are Hitler.

That is where the fallacy of the "forgetting history" meme falls. We should always remember history, we should never forget what happened in Europe, or what the US did to the Native Americans. But false analogies and flame inducing remarks that have almost no parallel just dont work. Guess what, if the AR-15 is banned that doesnt make you Sitting Bull. If restrictions go up on who can use guns you arent getting shipped to Auschwitz. You arent remembering history with comments such as those you are actually denigrating it. It is like when NFL players compare how the owners treat them to slavery or the NBA players said there was a plantation mentality going on in the league. (both statements made during lockouts in the last decade) Sorry but that is asinine.

Comparing everyone to Hitler doesnt make us remember, it actually helps us forget.

The point is not to forget or remember history. Sure, many people (including myself) say this, but what is much more important is to take what we learned from history and apply it to today's world. Certainly, like the fine print says in all those cheesy lawyer ads, past performance does not guarantee future results. Odds for a favourable outcome may be improved, though. The point is not to say "He took our guns, therefore he's no different than Hitler". What we should be saying is, "OK, so there are several historic examples where allowing the confiscation of weapons led to tyranny, oppression, and persecution. What else can we do to accomplish our goal (in this case, preventive measures against another attack)?

The Lady of the Lake was imprisoned by the EPA and DHS for polluting a lake with a dangerous weapon.

Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

It was obviously your fault for expecting that level of critical thinking and reading comprehension from those people.

You're not remotely astute enough to toss around that barb.

It's providing a little food for thought about what purposes the government might have in calling it's own citizens "evil", "stupid" and "crazy" as excuses to try to get all the guns into a few hands. It's time for our self-proclaimed "chosen ones" to step back and think about the bigger picture before following along like bleating sheep behind this "iron fist" administration wherever it decides to lead. Think for yourselves!

The only bleating is coming from your ilk. Our citizens are not being labeled as such to any significantly measurable degree and no one is trying to limit guns to as few people as possible. And last time I checked the current POTUS was elected into office.
