Dick's is where all the, well, Dicks, who park huge, spotless trucks in my work parking lot shop. You can be white trash and still have a ton of money.

The Palin's wouldn't be caught dead in a Dick's (we don't have any in Alaska anyway), it's Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop for them.

I thought it was Dicks for sports and Cabela for killing. It seems to be down here.

Like I said earlier they already swore off Dick's when they stopped selling guns (I believe it was post the school shooting in Florida, there have been so many I can't remember which). Since Dick's now only sells regular sporting goods and basically no hunting or fishing gear, they don't go there. It is Cabela's or Bass Pro for them (which are actually the same company now and actually suck even more for quality and price than they used to). Or smaller regional chains like the various Fleet Farm/Farm and Fleet stores in the Midwest or maybe Scheels.
 
When I was in MN I had a Fleet Farm, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards and a few hardware stores within 15 minutes of my house. I mostly chose a hardware store unless the price difference would make not going elsewhere a stupid decision.
 
We get a strong white trash contingent at our factory outlet malls. They seem attracted to marked down sneakers.

We have a large but old-time hardware store (without the rolling wall ladder) in our town that I LOVE going to, not for tools or household goods so much but for things like screws, bearings, bushings, wood finishes, or pocket door parts that no big box store will carry unless it's in a box of 50. And the staff knows where to find it.

I would love a Fleet Farm store here honestly. I've ordered quite a bit of my ice fishing gear from various farm and fleet stores in Minnesota/Wisconsin because we just don't have great selection and price for that stuff in Idaho. We have a Scheels opening up in the Boise area soon that will absolutely dwarf the Cabela's that is nearby already
