10/23 - @ Bowling Green
10/24 - Bowling Green
11/27 - @ Umass-Lowell

Tabs:
Tournaments and Future Games - I will add onto here once we know more but this is what I have for now. This is all based on what I could gather from 2019-20 schedules thread.

OOC History - This tab is meant to get an idea of what teams' OOC was for the past few years to try to get an idea of who they may play by having to return visits. In column B, green color teams are confirmed and black color teams is a guess based on owing a visit.

Schedule Release Dates - Will update once team officially releases schedule after current season ends.

2020-2021 Schedules - Will update once we have more schedules and dates confirmed such as the ECAC composite schedule.

Please don't hesistate to let me know if something isn't right and I will fix it. Let me know if you know something that I don't have and I will add it to the spreadsheet!

Very nice work, thank you!

Arizona State has cancelled its trip to Michigan Tech on Feb 12-13, per MTU athletic director Suzanne Sanregret. The series will be rescheduled for a future season. She cited ASU's concerns about department income and budget with no college football, so I would assume there will be other games also affected for the Sun Devils.

I have not seen/heard anything announced from ASU, but if true it sux. Do you have a link or site source? The publicly announced plan now is to have football but that could change or maybe has but not announced. Regardless, this season is not starting out good......

Maybe you guys should drop down to DIII.

Re: WCHA 2020-21: We Can Do Better than Two Bids and Eight Teams Exiting

Maybe teams that have such tight budgets that they can't travel much should change from D1 hockey to D2, D3 or go club. Much cheaper for them. Of maybe we follow the lead of college football. We set up a D1a (FBS) & D1aa (FCS) with different funding requirements. D1a can then pay D1aa to come play them.

Maybe this is in response to Holy Cross dropping their trip to ASU & loss of revenue from that...
However I do recall a certain conference your team is in kicked out 3 members because they didn't pay the other teams enough money to travel to them for games.

Wow that sucks, wonder what MTU and ASU are doing to make up for it. Would make sense why ASU held off releasing schedule and has me thinking Brown may have called off their trip since they are rumored to be on LIUs schedule.

I know Miami is still looking to fill in 2 non-conf games.

Straight from the mouth of the AD is more than enough of a source. Her explanation was that AzSt asked for the deferral to a future season, because their department budget is in limbo with no answer on attendance for football. Whether football gets played is a much different question than who gets to go watch in person and spend money.

I am typically a glass half-full guy and I personally don't like masking up and hunkering down. But looking at the some of the current COVID trends, Holy Cross cancelling a trip to ASU and ASU cancelling a trip to Mich Tech might turn out to be the least of our worries.

I think the next week will be huge, when the large number of positives in Texas, Arizona and Florida work their way through as either hospitalizations, deaths or recoveries. As of this moment Florida may not be as bad as people say IF the numbers are not lagging. @Hold2LLC on Twitter is doing a bang up job taking the raw numbers and making charts.

What prompted my post was the apparent infection spikes we've seen at the Clemson and LSU football camps and the fact that the Tampa Bay Lightning shut down its training facility because of an outbreak among players. Hopefully not a harbinger of things to come and agree that what happens in terms of complications over the next seven days is key.

"Bowdoin announced Monday that its men’s and women’s hockey teams will not play during the 2020-21 season, citing safety reasons, until Jan. 1 at the earliest."

Is this the first domino to fall, or just a NESCAC school acting with an overabundance of caution (that would not be surprising)?

Well, "the next week" has come and gone, and the positivity rates and hospitalizations in those three states continue to rise, although the morbidity rates appear to be flatter. If there's a light at the end of the tunnel (that isn't a fast freight) it would be that infection rates in the core hockey areas of the northeast and upper midwest have steeply declined. I still think there's a decent chance we'll have a college hockey season of some sort providing infection rates for pro and college athletes in pre-season training are negligible.

Here it is July with still very few released schedules. Looks like no one is in a hurry as there is likely to be few if any advanced ticket sales along with possible schedule changes if some schools decide to suspend hockey for a year for safety or budget reasons. I know even if available I won’t be buying the season tickets I had planned to buy this year.

Can i ask where we get in the schedule docs that Minnesota is suppose to go to Niagara. I'm not sure Minnesota was ever schedule for a return date with Niagara.

Here's a small ray of hope that the plan is still to have a 2020-21 season - Wisconsin and Denver moved out their series to 21-22 due to Denver heading to Boston the weekend after and Wisconsin instead of playing LIU will play ASU. Wisconsin also flipped the NMU and MTU series so NMU will play Wisc 10/9 and 10/11. MTU will play Wisc 10/3-4.

Wisconsin's other non-conf games are Minn-Duluth 10/23-24 and the Holiday Faceoff 12/28-29.

Denver will also play ASU twice 10/9-10 AND 12/4-5.
