Colgate is always looking for non-conference opponents.

NMU plays Colgate at home Thanksgiving weekend.

Any ideas who is still open Oct. 3/4? NMU has a "pending" away non-conference series.
Merrimack @ Brown on New Years Day - return trip scheduled for '21-22. This gives us all but 1 of Merrimacks non-conference schedule.
Spreadsheet has been updated to date!
A wrinkle into scheduling for next year:

You will have to change potential schedules. Series that require flights could be swapped with series with teams within bussing distance.

And so it begins... A Holy Cross at Arizona State 2 game series doesn't impact ASU but leaves HC with 2 games to find. If SCS cancels their trip to Boston, BC (1) and Northeastern (1) can easily play HC to make those games up for all 3 teams. SCS can easily find a WCHA team to play against as they have the Alaska exemptions.
We'll see what else happens over the next couple weeks....

.
Not sure St Cloud can "easily" find a WCHA team to play against. There are only 2 WCHA schools that are close to St. Cloud, and those 2 are already on the schedule for next year. Maybe an "easy" trip to Alabama, Ohio, or the UP, I guess.
Sure it impacts ASU. 2 less home games.
A home and home between MN and AZ? lol
There won't be any college hockey in 2020 so this will all be moot.
They know and understand being an independent team will require more road games. ASU Coach seems okay with it considering they still have the 34 game schedule.

It is funny for ASU to leave a resort area for, ice, snow, -0F but they do it. Not so funny for Minnesota teams to leave that for AZ
Home and home means one weekend with a game at each place. This will not happen in MN and AZ.
St Cloud & UMD could both fit into NMU’s schedule, which is off Oct 9-10 and is scheduled to have BU on Oct 16-17. The trip from UMD to NMU is closer to home than everyone but St Cloud in the NCHC.
