The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

I haven't seen anything yet, but if they've mirrored in paired years past, it wouldn't surprise me to see the same happen this year. I assume it's same teams, same dates, just with the venues flipped? If that's the case, at least they're going to change anyway with Notre Dame leaving for the Big Roll-a-D20... :p

Correct. So the Maine-BC series would be November 4-5 at Alfond, the 11th would be Lowell, the 13th @Lowell etc.

The B1G Mistake has a high CON but low WIS, INT and CHA scores. Definitely the warrior of the group. (/D&D nerd)

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

On the BU thread the following non-conference games have been mentioned:

Beanpot
at Colgate
2 at Mich (possibly the second weekend of November)
2 at Denver
Quinnipiac
Yale
Harvard
Union

leaving one more possible game at Agganis. For the Beanpot the first round will be BU-BC and NU-Harvard (unless they make a change to the rotation).

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Would it be difficult to make the top 3 rows and left 2 columns so that they don't scroll? I don't recall in past years having the difficulty of not knowing what date I am looking at when I scroll to the right or what team I am looking at when I scroll down.

I have that set, at least for my view; it may be something you'd have to do in your own view of it. See if you have an option to split and freeze panes (or something similar to that), and you should be able to set this accordingly. When I'm able to access the spreadsheet, I'll give more coherent instructions if you're still having issues.

I don't see any Options menu or any other menu for that manner on the page. As the author you probably have more control. Is it possible for you to save the file with those areas nonscrolling? Perhaps you have to do it, and I doubt that anyone would mind if they don'[t scroll.

I'll see what I can do. I recall once that I lost it, but eventually ended up getting it back.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Ralph, I was able to take a look at it read-only, and it shows the screen splits that I put in, so I'm just as confused as you. Maybe it's the way I'm publishing it? Perhaps something at Google changed?

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Get an accurate date then? As always I'm dying to know.

Hearing October 21-22, but that Thanksgiving weekend, November 25-26, is preferred by UMD although the WCHA tentatively has a conference series planned for Minnesota State. I've also been told that there's a chance they don't play this year and will the following due to a team locked into a series for 2017-2018 wanting to play in 2016-2017. Should know more by the end of this week or early next.

Do you have a link to the WCHA info, or something that would be able to be typed out here?

There are thicker lines where the screen splits should be, but they don't do anything. I get the same result with IE and Chrome.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Link to this year's spreadsheet, additions and corrections appreciated: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v8k8VHp97h_50aQoHxfJel2Zs3f_tz77Q7ZMgxNKZyI/

KNOWN SCHEDULES: (minus exhibitions)

ECAC (non-travel-partner conference schedule released):
Cornell
Colgate

NCHC (conference schedule released):
Colorado College
Denver
Miami
Nebraska Omaha

Hopefully that link works a little better, Ralph; the pubhtml is a bit awful.

That works fine although it takes a while to load.

It's not going to be perfectly what you suggested this time around, as already I'm seeing a conflict with Boston College, given their special game at MSG. Doesn't mean that they can't reschedule, of course. However, I'd prefer to see this confirmed with at least one team before I start putting it all in only to have to take it out again.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Thank you very much Google; unfortunately this happens when you have a large amount of information with complex formulas to determine number of games.

Could you change the link in the first post in this thread to link to the new version? It's easier to find that post than the last time that you provided the link.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

The North Dakota/Minnesota series on Nov 4th/5th will be either a Friday/Saturday or a Friday/Sunday series. it all depend on the start time for the Gophers football game that Saturday. Most of the time no other Gophers sporting events take place on a Saturday when there a football game.
