THE 2015 BEANPOT.. ain't no deflate-gate

Re: THE 2015 BEANPOT.. ain't no deflate-gate

No, I got the memo. I still stand by my statement that the majority of people attending the game are not driving in from 45 miles away. In fact, a good number may have come from farther, bought plane/train fare which is now useless.

^^Couldn't have said it better myself. Plenty of people (in and outside of 128) were going to have pain in the *** to get to this game one way or the other.

I hesitate to think there are thousands of people coming to this game from the Fitchburg area, or an equal distance. Especially considering 50-75% of the balcony seats are sold to people a train ride away.

Um, what? Are the majority of people going a train ride away or are coming from farther away?

FWIW I live about 4 miles from the Garden, right on the Orange line, and I work in the Back Bay. And I'm glad they've re-scheduled it because the city itself and the small area around the city, where I live, is getting up to 2 FEET of snow.

True enough. I know some folks who flew to Boston yesterday and today for the sole purpose of going to the Beanpot. They now have an enduring story to tell their grandkids (none of which will believe a word they say.) So, more Beanpot lore.

I called it days ago. Now if NU wins the pot, will this be known as the postpone pot? :D

FWIW, the schedule for the weekend of 2/20 and 2/21 has BU at home vs ND while Northeastern will be at Maine.

Nick Olsson with a funny Tweet. "Can't we just petition to have the Beanpot at Walter Brown."

I too have a friend who flew in and is now out the airfare. Also, my girlfriend will be lucky to male the third period because of another event she scheduled that night because there was no game.

chickod's happy so everyone else S-TFU. :p

What is wrong with you people? I am not "happy." I just didn't feel as though the game should have been played tomorrow night. I can't control when they rescheduled it for. It's like you're blaming me because there are all these "conflicts" on the make-up date. Like anybody asked me anyway! It was never about ME. I told you that I am representing thousands of people for whom it would be not only impractical, but downright dangerous to attempt to go to this event. Public safety has to take precedence. You're all whining like a bunch of babies. Jeez...

Yeah, but they have to travel up to Orono for it.

Mookie recalls a story from the head pro at Augusta CC

Seems one day he was in his shop when a cab drove up and let out 4 japanese businessmen. These gentlemen came in and asked if there was anyway they could be accommodated to play the great Augusta golf course that they saw each spring on rv hosting the Masters golf tournament

So Mookie ain't buying any crying how a trip to Orono in February is any hardship :D
