The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

The 51st annual Great Lakes Invitational will be played on Tuesday 29 December and Wednesday 30 December of 2015.

Tuesday will feature Michigan Tech vs Michigan State, followed by Northern Michigan vs Michigan.
Wednesday will be the 3rd place game, followed by the championship.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

I have also learned that the Maine-UNH series will be December 29 (Portland) and December 30 (Manchester). The Hockey East games will be December 4&5.

I would ask our friends from Colgate if it's possible that series with Maine is scheduled for Alfond Arena this season with the return trip next season. I ask because Maine can schedule 36 games and now has 34, but only 12 at Alfond. Even if the remaining series is scheduled at home, that leaves only 14 home games which is awfully light. Regardless of location, that series will be January 8-9 as both teams only have those dates free.

That series will be at Maine.

Apparently the sports world is abuzz about a schedule release. Mark your calendars for the next one: #WCHA composite schedule out May 4!

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Thanks to Michigan's now-fired AD having his thumb up his *** in terms of non-conference scheduling, Michigan's 2015-16 home non-conf slate is looking really REALLY bad right now.

In addition to the already known Robert Morris home series, Michigan will face Mercyhurst, Dartmouth and Niagara in home series at Yost.

Is your pair at BU going to actually be one at BU and one at BC, to "travel-partner" Wisconsin in the B1G-HE challenge?

Also, it's not a pair vs. Union; 1 at Union and 1 at RPI.

I know about the Union/RPI trip.

And no. Series at BU. Looking like Michigan won't be participating in the B1G/HEA Challenge unless they shoehorn some games in somewhere because there are currently 34 games on the schedule.

They had to take those who are willing to take their 2 for 1 offers.

We are UMASS hockey fans, but we do watch a number of Atlantic Hockey and ECAC games as a number of their teams are with in an hours drive of us in Massachusetts. UMASS usually plays at least one game against an ATL Hockey team, but adding three of their games to your schedule won't be a big help in the Pairwise Rankings especially if you actually lose one of them. Robert Morris was the ATL regular season champion and Mercyhurst can play pretty well at times. The Dartmouth game should be a good game. They are usually pretty good.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

I'm thinking that you can take Tech off the list for the Mariucci Classic. With the GLI on Dec. 29-30, and the likely dates for the Mariucci Classic Jan. 1-2, that would be 4 games in 5 days.

Maybe you finally get a series with us? :D (Hey, I can dream...)

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Merrimack announced a few more games with no dates:

Home vs. Union
@ Cornell (2 games)
@ Army

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Just got a tweet from the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn. Nov.1 double header: Army & Bentley and Notre Dame & UConn.

They'll find a way to drop of one of those games despite having a national championship caliber team. Per the last 3 seasons. :(

sigh.

Army and Bentley?? Seems they are passing up a goldmine with Army-AFA in Brooklyn.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Conference or non-con?

Conference. "This annual event, in partnership with Play By Play Sports, LLC , will feature an Atlantic Hockey league contest between The United States Military Academy (Army) and Bentley University. The second match-up features a Hockey East battle between the University of Notre Dame and the University of Connecticut. The doubleheader will showcase different teams each year."
