Well,that's a pretty big shoe dropping. Surprised that Revis would sign for $12 M. Very Patriots (Red Sox, too for that matter) -like term with some risk. If he has a good year, I doubt he'll sign for that amount again. Pats are better at CB than they were two days ago.

I do have to wonder how much Denver has forced his hand here, but I was hoping they'd go after another corner. Would really like to see Jared Allen added to the pass rush as well.

Vince needs to suck it up and fulfill his contract. I like the guy but if he doesn't want to restructure, don't. Collect your millions in the last year of your deal and hit the open market. I really fail to see what the whining is all about here. Its one thing if the team is lowballing a free agent. Its another if a guy's fallback position is playing out the final year of a lucrative contract. What exactly am I missing?

Belichick: Okay, but we can't promise that we'll be able to keep you this year. Wilfork: Okay, but I'm not taking less money than I'll be able to make on the open market.
The. End. Personally I think the Pats should suck it up and pay him for this year. If they sign Browner they can address both the O line and the second TE position in the draft. I would not overpay for Edelman.
With a front 7 of Wilfork, Kelly, Mayo, Collins, Hightower, Jones, and Nikovich that's a pretty good team. Add Revis and Browner in the secondary and hope the injury bug doesn't kill you again.
