The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

Re: The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

Whoops.

Philip Klein: "All credentialed media checking into the Republican National Convention are being given a swag bag featuring brochures and items from various sponsors such as sunglasses and a pocket fan. But the bag also contains a copy of the original hardcover version of Mitt Romney's book No Apology, in which he suggested his approach to health care in Massachusetts could be accomplished in the rest of the country."

The conservative delegates won't have a lot of time for reading...

Saw an interview with a LA GOP senator. He was advocating smaller government across the board, no exceptions! (Except disaster relief)

No honest Republican should take federal disaster relief. I'll bet that would be a popular stance among their constituents. ;)

It's only "principled" when you're cutting somebody else's benefits. It's only "dependency" when it's somebody else's children.

Link or it didn't happen. Especially those last three words.

I don't think its a coincidence that your asking for link after I said 'saw an interview'. But...

From Vitter's own website:

Senator Vitter believes that the federal government is too big, too bloated, and too involved in Louisianians’ daily lives, and he’s focused on taking practical, mainstream steps to cut spending, reduce the deficit, and put government back in its proper role.

Yet....

Vitter requests government intervention on BP

Vitter asks for Obama's aid for Louisiana ahead of tropical storm

Did you seriously doubt that this would be the case?

Not at all. If you put a "free lunch" in front of someone, they'd be a fool not to take it. Of course, as you and I could certainly agree, there's no such thing as a free lunch.

Hey! Vitter pays for stuff. Those prostitutes he hired, for example. That upstanding conservative that he is...;)
