NE takes Alfonzo Dennard from Nebraska at 224. He was arrested last weekend for assaulting a cop.

NE takes WR Jeremy Ebert from Northwestern at 235. That does it for the Pats' 2012 draft. Six defensive picks and only one on offense. Last year five of their first six picks were on offense.

Looks like 85 may have been cut. He left today's OTA before it started, and he removed all Patriots references from his Twitter bio.

Watching a bit of this preseason game tonight, and while it's hard to make many judgments with all the players they're resting, the OT position is starting to get a bit scary. Vollmer is coming back over the next day or two, which is good, but Solder looks bad. And Cannon looks completely inadequate.

Tough to say. I will venture to say that he should likely be active every game, but his reps will depend on the gameplan. Vereen is banged up to start the season, and I could see Woodhead turning into more of a (Kevin) Faulk-like third-down back. So he should get some carries. But they also have an UDFA who they seem high on, given the people they cut in order to keep him on the 53.

The secondary still isn't great but the front 7 looks pretty good. I don't believe Brady had his best game. Ridley looks good and finally Woodhead got a few touches. Welker looks like the forgotten man but my guess is the D is all over him

That was encouraging. Team looked real good. Should win next week and be 2-0 heading to Baltimore.
 
I'm going to the game in Baltimore. Last time was the last minute TD on a Monday night. Won't be surprised if this one is also a great game.
