advanced to the semi finals of my club's spring match play championship on the 19th hole of our game. started out somewhat poorly, 6-6-7. funny enough i was only 1 dn after 3 because i won the 3rd hole with the 7. my opponent hit the wrong ball, he marks his with three dots - same as the guys a couple groups behind us when he hooked into the other fairway. stroke play it is a one shot penalty, match play it is loss of hole. i was giving him 4. the semi final match will be against a guy who is better than i, so i will be a-stoking ;)

That is true, especially with it being his first appearance in a major event.

today was rd 1 of the western mass amateur. surprisingly enough i shot 72 and am in solo 7th going into round 2 tomorrow.

Congrats. 22nd Annual Icer Open today - our foursome was on a serious roll with an eagle and five birdies in a row -- then a storm rolled through! The wind knocked down 8 of the 12 flagpoles in front of the clubhouse.

Played Willowbend in Mashpee on Saturday. Bog for the front 9 and Bay for the back (there's another 9, the Bend). Committed some attrocities on their well groomed fairways (when I could hit one). My friend suggested we play from the blacks. Did I mention he was my evil friend? Played the blues on the back, much more managable for me. Whew, some nice real estate on that course!

Playing in a Calcutta again this labor day. Dude I don't know bought me for $400. Would have liked to have bought myself, but will make him some $$$ this weekend.

Currently in the men's locker room emptying myself before the 1st rd of the southcoast amateur here at allendale cc.
