Lineup for week 17:

Here we are, already the last week of the regular season. Should be a fun week prognosticating, as there are still various exciting races underway, while other teams are just playing out the string. Will any of the latter teams lay an egg, leading to upsets that can have a serious impact on the order of the final standings. ?

Games of the week to watch:
- Clarkson at Cornell.
.....Clarkson trying to preserve at least third place, and Cornell has a score to settle.
.....This game has serious implications for pairwise rankings.


- SLU at Cornell.
.....SLU probably needs to win to preserve home ice, and they mounted a serious comeback last time.
.....This game also has serious implications for pairwise rankings.


- RPI at Princeton.
......RPI's best shot to steal a point or two in their attempt to grab the last playoff spot.

- Brown at Dartmouth.
......Based on RPI results, Brown may be desperate for a point or two to make the playoffs.

Quick update from tonight's games.

Havard wins and Clarkson lost to Cornell. Harvard has locked up second.

The final playoff spot race down to two teams.
Brown and RPI both lose, so they are still tied with 14 heading into tomorrow.
Colgate lost to SLU, so their playoff hopes are now done.

Cornell at 1, Harvard at 2, Quinnipiac at 6 and Princeton at 7 are locked in positions.
One playoff matchup is now set. #7 Princeton at #2 Harvard.

Meanwhile wild game in Hanover. Dartmouth over Yale 10-5.

Week 17 Poolie results:

Practice makes perfect, and three prognosticators got a perfect score of 12/12 in the last week. Not surprisingly Poolie King MattJ was one of them, and he ended up winning all the season awards as well.

Congrats to Hockey Teacher, MattJ and OnMAA for their Perfect score.

Results for the Bonus points picks from a few weeks ago are now in.

Atlantic Puck was the only one that picked Brown correctly for the last playoff spot. RPI was the most common pick (6 of 10)
Hockey Teach, OnMAA and Slewfoot, picked Harvard correctly for second place.

Another year in the books, another win for poolie king MattJ.

While he was in the lead most of the year, any thoughts by challengers to make a run of it were squashed with a strong finish by the King, who shared top spot in the last two weeks, and finished off in style with a perfect score in the last week.

Considering to implement a a handicap system for next season. :D

GoCu was very close in the batting average race, but MattJ took that as well with his late season dominance. His final average was an impressive 73.7% success rate. The top four all managed to get over 70% of their predictions right over the year.
