The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

Are the beer taps turned on for the conference tournament? I know they aren't for the NCAA tournament...

Oh, they serve alcohol at the CCHA. :D I got schlitzed a few years ago in the basement of the Joe. With one minute to go in the Michigan game I still had parts of 3 drinks in my hand. I was able to take care of those before the players finished shaking hands. :p

Streaker, glad we could have an honest debate about things. Unlike your sad cohort, Wolverinetrumpet, who hide behind a neg rep instead of talking things out like a real man. So I thank you for being an adult even though we didn't see eye to eye about your program.

Yep, no problem.

wT is an "all in for Michigan" woman. At least she had the honor to identify herself to you, unlike other cowards that perform drive by neg repping. :D

Tristan (or Tristin, in Llewellyn's case) is a gender-neutral name of Celtic decent. One of the knights of the round table in the King Arthur legend was Tristan. It appears to come from the French root "Triste", meaning sad. So appropriate for our own less disciplined one. The name is most popular in Spain, and is regularly used in Canada, Australia and Ireland.

Lindsay, though far less popular, is also a gender-neutral name of old English/Scot decent.

A rose by any other name... so to speak. Conner and Jarod aren't exactly common, you know. But I did have a dog named Cody one time. :p

Yeah I forgot the "i" made it gender neutral. So Tristin, Scootir and Lindsiy. ;) I'm just messin with ya :D My wife makes the same argument about it when we watch UM.

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

Walking out the door from work now, its been a longggg day. Going to catch a few drinks at the pre-game reception!!! Here's to hoping we don't get our ***** handed to us!!

LETS GO FERRIS!!!!!

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

T-60 minutes 'til Game 1. Cannot wait!

Just a thought: I had to chuckle when I saw that people (not Miami fans) were predicting the Hawks holding UMich to 1 goal. It can be done, don't get me wrong. But that O is clicking awfully well right now.

Prediction:
Game 1 = Ferris 3-1 NMU
Game 2 = Miami 6-3 Michigan

Game 3 = Michigan 4-2 NMU
Game 4 = Miami 3-2 Ferris

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

I'm pulling for Ferris in the first semi but believe that Northern will take it. As my forum name indicates I want Michigan to win it all but we'll see. That being said my predictions:

NMU 4 FSU 3
UM 5 MU 3

MU 7 FSU 2
UM 4 NMU 3

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

What a hockey game in the first semi!!!! Great effort by both teams, game of momentum. Got to tip your hat to Northern, coming out for the ot with that intensity after giving up a late lead.

On to game 2, should be a doozy. Reichard and Hunwick in their respective nets tonight.

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'

Watching the entire game again, thank you DVR

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

Great win 'Cats! Could have folded, but you held your composure for the end of the game, and ended it very quickly. Well done.

As for the Dawgs- nothing to be too bummed about- except the loosing thing. That was an impressive 3rd period to press for the tie.

That puts NMU into the tournament, right? All gravy from here out. I'll root for you if it's Miami, that's for sure.

Re: The 2010 CCHA Championships 3/19-20: FSU, Miami, Michigan, and NMU

could we have an all Michigan final?

nah.
