Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

You spelled "thoughts" wrong.

You spelled Greg wrong. :p

The Huskies had a golden chance to send the game to overtime when a questionable hooking call on sophomore forward Ross Gaudet gave them a power play with 1:28 to go. Northeastern coach Joe Cronin elected to pull his goalie to make it a 6-on-4.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

The only thing it doesn't explain is you supporting Steve for doing exactly what you said was in bad taste, is it all really the perceived special needs aspect?
It probably is. I have no idea whether he is or not, but having seen him I just think it's a bit harsh.
2/9 - Grounddog day. Rhett sees his shadow, it's going to be an early spring for the Terriers.
Wow, that was... witty! hahaha

If that's the case, then I won't post it again. You could be completely making it up, but I won't take the chance because it is cruel if true.
I have no idea whether he really is or not, but if I were to guess I think there's a good chance he is, based only on when I see him at a lot of games (I also would feel like crap if I were wrong... lol)
The title is wrong. There are two TUC in the Crockpot.
There was as of last week too.
BC just happens to have a few of the biggest d-bag posters in you, Nick, and Carmine along with some guest appearances who seem to make it their top priority to annoy other fans with humor that only you're laughing at.
Humor that only we BC fans are laughing at? Shouldn't that be the point?

Personally, I think you guys take us too seriously.
The lower bowl explodes when BC scores.
That's perspective, I think. From our end, where we can see under your balcony, the BU fans explode when BU scores. It's probably similar under our balcony, but I can't see.

Yeah, this was just knee-slappingly hilarious. Not crossing any lines whatsoever, nor in bad taste.

not a single post from yankeefat yet? this is inconceivable.

maybe we have to entice him to come in here

Most BC fans and even most of the posts from the big guns are pretty tame and often very funny in jest, but as far as this goes, enough is enough.

And thanks for reminding me about J.D. unsigned rep duo, but he doesn't generate as much controversy anymore.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

I thought it was one of the best signs I've seen in a while. I didn't realize BU had a similar sign at Matthews earlier this year, though. In that case, it's not nearly as original, but it's still funny.

your pp doesnt work has been around all season, its just unlike the nu moron who holds it up before the game, our guy only holds it when it becomes relevant, after a shg.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

I was actually thinking we could keep it polite and respectful this week, what do you think guys?

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

It probably is. I have no idea whether he is or not, but having seen him I just think it's a bit harsh.

you need to learn to express your thoughts better, saying "i have a hunch this guy has issues, i feel dirty reading people make fun of him" makes you look like much less of a hypocrite than saying "don't rip on him he doesn't post he, but it's hilarious when other people rip on other people who don't post here."

i also dont fully believe you, it may well be true, but it also may well be you trying to remove yourself from your previous logic while not admitting it was one of the most hypocritical statements possible. it just strikes me as a little too convenient.

Or after a particularly anemic stretch of power plays, for example the 3 penalties called on BU in just over 2 minutes at Matthews that resulted in 0 goal scoring threats.

Although the one goal from that game was scored on an NU PP, so::o

Nah, we've discussed this in the past offline, I've met the guy before and seen him around, and we both think that he's probably special needs in some way.

There are plenty of other idiot BC fans for you to make fun of anyway. There's a whole new crop of freshmen ready to entertain themselves by chanting Sux 2 BU for 55 out of 60 minutes next week!!!! :D

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

As for signs, I liked the "NO / Theissen" sign which was held up whenever NU did their "NORTH / EASTERN" chant.

Saw it earlier this year when BU played at Matthews and thought it was a very clever sign.

Now I need to go shower after giving BU a compliment.:D

That's okay, because we have freshmen who will entertain themselves by chanting obscenities until shushed by those around them.

This is an honest question. I have never seen this man outside of the photographs, so I do want to know (an avalanche of questions came to my head, so bear with me).

Is he a student? Does BC have a special needs program? If so, was he with friends or caretakers?

Basically, I'm wondering what differentiates between special needs (which I've always understood as being fundamentally unable to care for one's self in certain ways) and simply inept. I realize the wording may be a bit obtuse, but I just wanted to create a blunt line so I can know where he falls.
