Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Hockey East itinerary

February 5-9 Schedule of events

2/5 - UML beats BU. Uh oh for BC. Meanwhile BC beats UMass. Stupid BC fans declare that BC "will kill" BU in the Beanpot, "this year is different", "we're the better team and we're going to win."

2/6-2/7 - BU is angry. So is Jack. Fanboys that write for student newspapers will attend practices and interview players about the Beanpot game vs. BC. Practices will be intense as BU players are focused and look to save their season once again. Fights may even erupt during practice. Players indicate to fanboy reporters that they have been having special player-only meetings and other special meetings Saturday and Sunday to refocus their thoughts.

2/8 - BC bends over for BU again sans astroglide. Ouchie Eagles. There will be some contraversy as BU will benefit from some sort of video review (have never seen this before!). BU national champs!

2/9 - Grounddog day. Rhett sees his shadow, it's going to be an early spring for the Terriers.

Well, the official call was "Contact to the head: Cross-checking." Not sure if they'd tack on hitting after the whistle for the extra two or just extra two for being so bad.

I was surprised to see Warso lose his cool like that. That's crazy.

It was pretty unsportsmanlike.

I could have seen rouging or hitting after the whistle. Usually they don't call live play penalties like cross-checking, hooking, tripping after the whistle, though I wouldn't have blamed the refs for deeming more than 2 minutes necessary.

Not to mention the fact that I'm like 70% sure that that guy is special needs in some way, based on when I've seen him at games.

Obviously my post asked for it, but I stand by what I said for the most part. I think I mostly have a problem with attacking that guy in particular.

If that's the case, then I won't post it again. You could be completely making it up, but I won't take the chance because it is cruel if true.

frankly, i don't care what you think, thought, or did about deuce anyway. your opinion is as irrelevant as his. he is just the newest in the long line of scumbag bu posters who don't know where the line is (he must have failed the social skills class at bu). you've condoned them before and you will condone them again; so just get off your high horse and cut the holier than thou routine - you are no savior.

But, but, but that's Scarlet you're talking about. Doesn't she walk on water, or something?:D

You spelled "thoughts" wrong.

The title is wrong. There are two TUC in the Crockpot.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Either way, whatevah. I didn't mean to start another NU-BU "my student section's wang is bigger than yours" debate with that post. You know what my point was. Regardless of the reasons why, NU brings the biggest student section, while BU brings in the most overall fans.

(And while this is only a hunch, I'm guessing BC brings in the TV audience. That's why you can't see our fans at the Garden :p... that and the yellow shirts)

I see a lot of BC jerseys and shirts in the loge. They may not have the student turnout, but the loge is dominated by BU and BC (harvard is also strong, but not as much).

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

thats rich. i could give two sh*ts who you neg rep. how do i know you didn't neg rep tony as well? how do i know you didn't yell wee at your computer after reading deuce's diatribe? how do i know you aren't deuce to begin with? the answers are simple and the same. it doesn't matter what i don't know. because i do know that the fact that your public decrying of the fat, ugly, crying girl picture while remaining silent on deuce doing the same thing is entirely disproportionate and reeks of hypocrisy and favoritism.

frankly, i don't care what you think, thought, or did about deuce anyway. your opinion is as irrelevant as his. he is just the newest in the long line of scumbag bu posters who don't know where the line is (he must have failed the social skills class at bu). you've condoned them before and you will condone them again; so just get off your high horse and cut the holier than thou routine - you are no savior.

'dont stoop to the BC fan level' she says. wow, could my point be any clearer? you've started with an unequal playing field to begin with. BC = wrong, BU = right; always has been and always will be with you. it is a tired act. if two people do the same thing; your outrage should be the same for both.

and just for good measure

what a friggin loser this kid is.

I doubt the girls really care at this point, whoever they are, and I personally don't have a problem with it being posted. I'm sure the large kid has had insults thrown his way before and is so desensitized that they bounce off him anymore. As far as the pictures of someone on facebook, it's creepy. Really creepy. But when we're talking about 'crossing the line,' no one resets that line more than you Stevie.

Heck, you either have a facebook account and favorited that or went back through old threads to find that picture. I dislike the get-ups BU fans get into, it's pathetically dumb (just like the BC football fans who put absurd shrine hats and flapping eagles on their heads and the NU fan who must have bough a transformers helmet, and the 2 shirtless Harvard fans), but to have that pic bookmarked is sad.

It's not as clear as BU=right/BC=wrong, BC just happens to have a few of the biggest d-bag posters in you, Nick, and Carmine along with some guest appearances who seem to make it their top priority to annoy other fans with humor that only you're laughing at.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Impossible, BC fans don't wear jerseys

Alums do. Not to mention all the kids who have pledged their allegiance to BC, and are wearing T-Shirts. The lower bowl explodes when BC scores.

(Obvious exception is the 5PM semifinal, when most people aren't there).

Aside from the grade school humor, this sign may have made sense unless there was the fact that BU's power play is #10 and NU's is #40. The first goal last night was a power play goal! FAIL!

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Who were the two fans with the Sioux shirts on last night?

USCHO members??

It's funny, I'm sure that was the intent. Face it, anyone who is making such a sign probably isn't researching stats.

I thought it was one of the best signs I've seen in a while. I didn't realize BU had a similar sign at Matthews earlier this year, though. In that case, it's not nearly as original, but it's still funny.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Ah...nothing like a BU/BC Beanpot final to bring out a week of vitrol and smack talk.

February is fun.
