nice touch, honestly im more excited about the game at merrimack friday than the one tomorrow. my desire for hockey east points is greater than my desire for "OOC" wins, despite the fact that we are somehow a TUC. I think someone forgot to carry a one somewhere in calculating those rankings, that's the only explanation I have for being a top 25 team.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Umm... why is this thread on the second page? Also, for anyone not going, we'll be live blogging both games tomorrow night.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

USCHO lists BU as the home team tomorrow night, anybody know if that's accurate?

You'd think I'd know how the home team is determined after watching this tournament for so many years, but honestly, I have no idea how that happens. Maybe because BU is the defending champ? That's all I got.

In the globe chat with the expert thing on their website last year someone asked how they decide the home teams and the reporter couldn't answer the question.

im going to go with some honorary director thinks of a number, one or two, and parker and cronin guess.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Is the game broadcast on internet video? If so, can somebody post link? Thanks!

I might be able to answer this when I get home. It should be in the media packet I got at the Luncheon.

I have no idea, either. I'll ask around tomorrow, though.

You may get lucky at this site....

It generally posts a link to any major live sporting event going on. Usually not college hockey but hey, it's the beanpot right?

Other than that, justin.tv and ustream.com are always good bets...

Can't wait to see some exciting hockey tomorrow! If NU plays like they did against Lowell we'll be seeing a great game. I'm a bit worried about how all of our freshman will react to playing in front of such a huge number of people though. I guess by this time tomorrow we'll know!

Also, a good article on Harvard's recent developments on USCHO... if I were BC I'd be worried!

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

On everything I got at the Luncheon, the games are listed as:

Boston College vs. Harvard
Boston University vs. Northeastern

Common sports style is to list the road team first, so this leads me to believe that Harvard and NU are the home teams.

If history proves anything, whoever USCHO likes as a "darkhorse" is usually a kiss of death. Husky fans can attest to this.

If USCHO loves Harvard, I'd be happy to be BC!

Or it's because in this 4 team tournament the darkhorse has to be Harvard or NU, because it can't be BU or BC, and in the past 20 years just being one of those two teams is the kiss of death:rolleyes:

Word on the street is that eageefat got hungry.

I don't want to sound like some overly-sensitive tool or anything, but it kind of bugs me that we rip on this guy. He doesn't even post on the board and we make fun of him behind his back. It just doesn't seem right.

With yankeefat, he's at least a member of this board and we're making fun of him to his face (at least, through the internet, anyway).

I know I'm defending the BC guy and ripping on the BU guy, but I think even if the roles were reversed I'd feel the same way.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

That dude ends up on every thread and discussion denigrating BC on the entire internet. I'd imagine he's seen himself on the web at some point.

I'm really hoping BC and NU are the road teams as the road teams will be shooting 2x toward my section.

Plus I like the maroon jerseys.
