It's very funny when Hate Radio hosts get pwned. Usually they just shout the caller down and go for some easy put down; if that doesn't work their monkey disconnects them. Obviously their audience doesn't get it (or they wouldn't be his audience), but it still is irritating that these wastes of space gross dollar one.

I don't even know what to think about this.

Donald Trump had nothing but the best things to say about Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) during a Texas fundraiser Tuesday when he was asked about a potential Perry Senate primary challenge to incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

So on the one hand it's a total fluff piece about a challenge that does not even exist and the reaction by somebody who isn't even in on the challenge. Now that there is some sort of record for non-"news", which I have just broken by linking to it and you have just broken by reading me. We are now 4 steps removed from anything real...

But on the other hand, mein Gott would that be a great race. A down-home idiot* pretending to be smart against a smart sociopath pretending to be a down-home idiot. Grab the popcorn.

* Though as my very rural conservative boss says, "there's stupid, and then there's country stupid." I always assume "gee shucks" pols are putting on a country stupid act.

A new ad highlighting Sen. Richard Burr's (R-NC) work in helping disadvantaged children in his state appears to feature black children from a school in Africa, not North Carolina.

HFC may be about to go to war with RSC.

Supposedly this has been brewing for a while and it's not just a dick-measuring contest between the leadership -- it's a genuine ideological and strategic split. There's really no equivalent among the Dems because there is no Dem caucus quite like the RSC. If anything it's kinda like the Sad Puppies / Rabid Puppies MRA split at the Hugos.

As with them, there are no heroes in this story. It's just a schismatic unwinding of terror groups, from AQ to AQAP to ISIS. Maybe if they snipe at each other they'll be easier to eradicate.

More inside baseball from the House. The wild thing is the guys who are behind this type of intimidation are the safest seats in the House, so they can be as irresponsible as they want. It hurts the national party but it makes them look like Dirty Harry to their constituents. It hurts the GOP leadership but again anyone outside their bubble is The Enemy.

It looks like the Comments section of Red State has come to life as members in the HFC. God help anybody who actually wanted to get anything done.

Kirkpatrick might take him down. She's smart and popular and fairly well-funded. (Full disclosure: Dr. Mrs. has an application in to Kirkpatrick's DC Senate staff if she wins.)
