If Drumpf wasnt endorsing the guy running against him I would say there is a chance...but he should be safe for now.
Paul Ryan faces primary voters today.
Pass or Fail?
Also: dude really wants to be president with the kind of naked, septic ache of a Christie, so let his freak flag fly.
Ryan can want to be president all he wants, he wont be president. He shot his wad 4 years ago running with Romney and everyone saw who he was and what he stood for. He aint flipping any swing states with his economic ideas or the things he has said about the poor. His inability to walk away from Drumpf will be the final nail as no one in the middle will back him and the independents wont either.
And he knows this, that is why he is Speaker even though he never wanted the job.
The problem both the corporate wing's policies and the Duck Dynasty crowd policies that the party embraces are a non-starter for the majority of the electorate. Unless that changes, or the party changes its core beliefs, they're screwed.
They might still be able to get away with the Duck Dynasty social stuff if they had economics that wasn't such obvious b.s. Lots of people in this country believe the various social inanities the DD folks broadcast. But basically nobody except billionaires and the Republicans in Congress believes in trickle down and supply side anymore. 30 years of failure is definitive.
Unless they knew along, and it was just a heist. But that's impossible, right?
Right?
Ugh Jason Lewis...
Ugh Jason Lewis...
Yeah, contrast her victory and sure to be election into office to the Trump campaign.
He spent years on the radio ripping this State. Moved to North Carolina where he was interviewed and said how much he loved being there and now he moves back to the State he hates to run for office? Jason, you don't like it here. LEAVE.
The guy had a local show where he was paid to talk politics, so anyone in that situation will be critical of the state govt, it's just a matter of whether you agree with that person or not.

Also, aside from the govt he loved living here, didn't want to leave except for a much better job in NC. People make that move all the time. That's how my family ended up here in 1978, and a great many others over the years too.
