Honestly.
What you got a problem with that?

But it would be soooo entertaining.

Heck, go find the Gophs and rile them up, too.

And, please tell me the BeeGees thing is a joke.
it's way too easy to rile up the goofs. Now the badgers that would be harder. Course you could start off by talking about cows....

It looks like there is going to be a real fight for ice time for the forwards.

I don't know if Heinonen will be returning next season. Also, I am uncertain with Soley's status with the team as I've seen him viewing the game from ice level instead of in the press box with is teammates.

I'm thinking Tech needs to take a serious look at Ben Johnson from Calumet.
And no, I'm not just saying that because I went to the same school as him.

I can't argue with you...everyone has said he is better than Kero and Rouleau were at their age...

If he wants to be taken seriously he should get out of DIII Michigan hockey. Seriously. Try to get into the USHL or BCHL or ANYTHING else.

Does this mean it's time to p1ss Boosh off by speculating about initial line combinations? ;)

I almost forgot about Gordic, it's really a shame that he lost a whole year of development with that early injury. Wasn't he playing at right wing a lot though?

Royer and Baker need to have a good senior years. Royer had only shown flashes of his potential up until the second half of this season, when he finally started to come through. Would like to see him hit 20 pts. next season. Baker should be aiming to rebound with 30+ pts.

Didn't Soley sustain a pretty major injury this season? His stat sheet shows that he only played in one game after the first of the year, and it was in early January against UAA. Prior to that he hadn't played since early December at Wisconsin, but had seen fairly regular 3rd/4th line ice time up until that series. I agree that not sitting in the press box with the other scratches is odd.

With our recent and well-documented excess of injury problems, I would not be shocked if Heinonen was kept as insurance or even to compete for some limited ice time. Beyond the Cousens-Seigo pairing, our defense looks sketchier than a dark alley in Camden, NJ. Nielsen will have to continue his improvement, and hopefully either Doriott miraculously becomes more consistent, or one of Sova/Stebner can step in. This team is definitely in need of at least two competent, stay-at-home defensemen.

He should move to Minnesota. Of course, then you'd lose him to MN, UND, WI, SCSU, UMD, or BSU......:p

If he takes the same path as Kero appears to be taking, he'll be fine. NAHL/USHL during his senior year plus another USHL the year after high school.

I don't get why anyone would play DIII Michigan high school hockey for so long if they wanted to go further. There just isn't any good competition unless you're a DIII school playing DI teams all year and then playing up for the tournament ion DI.

Whats wrong with a 15/16 yo kid playing for his local high school? Now, I agree with bigblue, he should move on to the NAHL/USHL and forgo his senior year, probably play an extra year of juniors and got to college as a 19 yo frosh...

I don't remember hearing about a Soley injury. I always thought his deal was that he didn't play withing the defensive part of the sytem. Queue the Jamie/defense picture.

You also don't want to jump into competition that is too far above your level. It wouldn't do him any good to go play somewhere where all he does is sit on the end of the bench and is way overmatched. If he's going to be good enough to play right after his senior year, then he should go juniors next year. If he's going to wait until a year after he graduates high school, then he should play with his buddies that he's grown up playing with for another year.

Well, no one can say that Soley has turned out to be a good player, but I thought I heard something about him being injured earlier this year and then I never heard much about him after that. Maybe I'm wrong, Flashy or Yager will have to chime in.

I don't keep track of injuries but the issue that may have him not playing next year is the apparent disagreements with the coach and the fact that he sounds miserable playing for Russell and the rumors of Russell not appreciating his efforts and saying that he is the worst forward we have this year. Can't confirm is that is true, out of context, or is the whole story but apparently that ****ed him off and he sat out the home Wisconsin series by choice to show his point to the coach.
