Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

I really hope you don't make a big deal out of it. Let the guys have some fun playing some floor hockey, it won't hurt anything. Besides, I told you to get them on your team, but nooooooo, someone had to follow the rules to the letter. ;)

Not my intention to make a big deal out of it, it was more a matter of being told that I was wrong (what would a girl know, right?), and wanting to prove them wrong. :p

Exactly. Girls are just only good for 6 things, and knowing stuff is not one of them.

So I don't get in here often, but thought I'd check to see what the Tech friends and foes made of the Tok departure.

Apparently not much.

5hit man, I don't post for months, and now a double-post.

But I wondered if this was a typo:

It looks like it, because they mention 2 different player names in the article. It doesn't make sense the way it is written.

edit: I read it again. I think what they're trying to say is, Kero, the leading goal scorer in the league, has committed to Tech, and now NMU signed the leading points guy in the league, this Higby guy

You're right, it is poorly written. What it's trying to say is the NAHL's leading scorer, Higby, is coming to NMU for the '10-'11 season. Why they included Kero, an MTU recruit and Marquette Ranger's leading scorer in the story is beyond me.

Edit: I first wrote this post before your edit. Sorry.

Higby was the leading point guy (80) in the league. (27g 53a)

Still extremely poor writing there...Higby did recently commit to NMU according to Heisenberg so I wouldn't be worried about Kero atm.

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

hmmm, I could only think of 3 things....

Six things

1) Obvious
2) Cooking/Housework
3) Sitting quietly and looking pretty
4) Not being able to testify against you in court as long as you're married to them.
5) Smiling and laughing when I flirt with them
6) Giving guys and other girls an actually reason to shower and clean and be presentable in general (Because let's be honest if there weren't any girls around who cared would you really do any of these things consistently).

MNS came up with DDing, which is a good one. I don't care about 3-6 on your list. So I'll stick with 3.

I believe I've found something that describes the past two seasons:

Just because it involves you mouth does not make it food.
Brassica napus Linnaeus—known as rapeseed, rape, oilseed rape, and in some cultivars, Canola—is a bright yellow flowering member of the Brassicacea family (mustard or cabbage family). It is a mustard crop grown primarily for its seed which yields about forty percent oil and a high-protein animal feed.
