Survivor: Nicaragua

If at some point in this season someone doesn't tear up their vote, look at the camera and say "Coach Stays" I am gonna be ****ed.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I like the new medallion power twist to the game. Makes things a bit more interesting and adds another strategic element.

This is the last season that Probst is signed on for correct?

I don't understand the people that say Survivor never changed and that's why they don't watch anymore. Every season there are new twists and surprises that keep me coming back season after season.

Also, it's fun just to watch the different charatcer and personalities that develop each season between a new set of castaways too.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

"Pretty soon we're going to have a woman president."

Laughed out loud at that line.

Boy, they really worked him as a villain. Not that he needed much help. "They already got us in marriage." Well, dude, I don't think you'll have to worry about that after this airs.

I also like the Medallion of Power, however the name is so cheesy I told my wife, "that has to be a comic book object." Behold.

Survivor without Peachy would be as soulless as Idol without Simon. They must re-sign him. They can pay him in contestants.

Price Is Right without Bob Barker.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Probst is signed out for two more seasons (21 and 22). After Heroes vs. Villians, he is on a series of one year deals, and he also an executive producer of the show. He has as much power as Mark Burnett and decides casting, locations, challenges, rule twists, etc. I don't think he'll be going anywhere soon though. If he does leave, what names would be thrown around as hosts? Boston Rob has to be a favorite if they want a previous contestant, along with Rupert, Russell, and Parvati. Maybe even Colby. If they want a "name" and not a previous contestant, they should go with Regis. :D

Matchgame without Rayburn...or that pencil-thin microphone.

I don't know what I'd do if I walked on the beach and saw Jimmy Johnson. I think I'd figure they went thru a lot of trouble to put me on a hidden camera prank show. Jimmy is notorious for just loving his yacht in the keys. Not that he's lacking in competitive fire, but why would he put himself thru this kind of stuff?

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Wow...

Young team is ensuring defeat...voting off one of your strongest players first? Eventhough he clearly showed himself as a ******, which I'm positive swung another vote or two in his direction.

Naonka= biotch

I think Jimmy will be around until Jill and whats his name blind side him with the immunity idol

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Personally, I can't wait to see Johnson get voted off.
Unless he's costing the team in challenges, I'd keep him around on the basis that the jury would never ever hand that guy the million at the end.

The young tribe reminds me of the villains early on - fragmented and at each other's throats trying to sort out some kind of pecking order. Voting out a strong player this early is a potentially disastrous move, but then again, they have the inherent advantage for the physical challenges by being the younger group. They also have the medallion now, so they can use that to their advantage as well.

The fact that the two eliminated contestants basically hung themselves by not shutting up at the vote is certainly humorous. I wonder if anyone learned a lesson from that?

I think it was 5-5 going into the council, so yeah, being a tool cost him at least one vote.

It's remarkable how immature that entire team is -- sure, they're young, but they're not in elementary school. I kept waiting for somebody to intervene as a cooler head, but the only person who even tried was Fabio. If he's your wisest member...

Contrast their drama with how the old folks dealt with the lunatic shoe move by the swim coach. They managed to talk her down off a ledge and mollified Mr. Alligator Shoes (who wears $1600 shoes on Survivor?).

It's shame they could only squeeze two weeks of politically incorrect sayings out of him.

New York is full of gays.

If they've ever watched the show...they should know that going off like that at tribal is going to get you kicked off. I would have changed my vote at that trial.

I thought Fabio was great at tribal. He kept trying to get Shannon to shut up but he wouldn't listen....Naonka is crazy but since she is with the alliance with the upper hand...and she wants Fabio out, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go next.

It's hard to imagine someone forming a close alliance with him. Unless it's very harsh editing, he has the brain of a field mouse, and you could never trust him with any sort of plan.
