Yes, that's true. The coaching staff at Geneseo is pretty careful and strategic with transfers. Very few of ours have not worked out well, but again, we've never had so many coming in at one time.

Thats good,Oz has had several here and there, for this yr I know of one, after that it's a mystery,I know of 2 freshmen, would imagine we would have a few more coming in but time will tell only a little more than 2 months til students show on campus .....

Things have been really tumultuous with the portal and all the guys looking to use their extra year elsewhere. Interesting also seeing some DIII guys going DI for their "extra" year. Since a lot of DIII schools have few or zero grad. programs, it kinda makes sense. Perna would have been a good candidate for Geneseo.

(Still 91 uncommitted players in Portal as of June 7 according to College Hockey Insider.)

Congrats to incoming Geneseo transfer Cooper Fensterstock for helping the USA Men's Hockey team win the gold medal 5-1 over Canada in the 2022 Maccabiah games in Jerusalem. Game video is available on Youtube.

Nice job...My daughter was captain of the U16 volleyball team in Isreal, they went undefeated
,6-0 for the tourney and won the Gold Vs Isreal in a stomach turning 5th set that went 16-14...Maccabi Games are a great way to travel explore and see Israel.

Maccabiah had women's ice hockey for the first time this year. Majority to 2/3 of Team USA had ties to DIII NCAA...

yes unfortunately we did not get to watch any hockey as the volleyball was in Haifa,Northern Israel and the hockey was in Jerusalem I believe or Tel Aviv not sure, but the venue was nice and the USA did well...Only problem was that Biden came to the games and screwed up traffic BIG TIME for Opening Ceremonies....

As/eliteprospects Colin Keenan of Geneseo fame to the Rochester Americans of the AHL...Nice...maybe just a try-out but it lists him going there..

I think it's a tryout but, yes, pretty cool. A (close to) hometown boy. Keenan brings lots of intangibles to the table.
