Sunyac 2022-23..

Plattsburgh hangs on for 5-3 win over Morrisville. As always the Ponies make the third period interesting. Plattsburgh secures at least second.

Pretty sure Plattsburgh had already clinched second. The best Geneseo could have done before last night was tied Plattsburgh in points (Plattsburgh loss last night and a Geneseo win this weekend). Plattsburgh wins the tiebreaker with a win and tie against Geneseo during the regular season.

The win last night puts a bit of pressure on Oswego to take all four points this weekend to take the regular season title and the #1 seed.

I pretty much agree with you, but without seeing the tiebreakers officially released the win last night definitely secured second. If what you say is the right the tie-breaker, then the next one would be what? Trying to figure out who would be first if Oswego wins one this weekend and ties or gets OTL in the other one. Plattsburgh and Oswego would both have 25 points, and each won their home conference contest. Oswego 5-1 and Plattsburgh 6-1

Based on what I posted above (which is really speculative), the next tie breaker would be the record against the 3rd place team. If that were Geneseo, Plattsburgh went 1-0-1-0 against Geneseo. Owsego went 1-0-0-1. Is that a tie as well? It's three points each... OK, record against the fourth place team? That'll depend on who ends up there. Plattsburgh was 2-0 against Cortland (Oswego was 1-1). Plattsburgh was 1-1 against Buffalo (Oswego is 1-0 going into a game this weekend).

Wouldn't this be so much easier if SUNYAC would just publish the damn tiebreakers?

Looks like #3 Genny will host #6 Freddy and #4 Cortland will host # 5 Buff State on Wednesday. On Saturday Oswego will host the lowest remaining seed and Plattsburgh the highest remaining seed.

A little pick-me-up for Ice Knight fans. Conlan Keenan now with 15 G and 11 A for 26 points in 54 games thus far with the Toledo Walleye. Way to go Keens!
