Sunyac 2022-23..

Geneseo 4-0 over Fredonia. A gritty, gutsy effort, against a very physical team, with Wilkins, Fensterstock, Garozzo, and Cmunt out of the lineup and several others knocked out of action during the game. I've never seen a wave of injuries like this before. Winter break can't come soon enough.

Plattsburgh beats Oswego 6-1. Oswego starting goalie left woth an injury and after one of his own defensemen collided with him.

Rumor around the rink is Bob Emery has backed out of his HOF ceremony set for tomorrow...
 
Geneseo 5-4 over Morrisville (sans Peter Morgan). The Ice Knights also picked up a new forward from Merrimack: first year Corey Cunningham, looks to be a very solid two-way player.
 
Dominant win by the Cardinals last night 6-1 over Oswego. Best, most complete game I’ve seen them play in years…

Game seemed closer than the score, Lakers hit a post/crossbar at 2-0 that would have made it a close one, but shit happens, our nemtinder made some nice saves but looked like a few softies got thru,NBD,off to Da Bears for sat night..

Your netminder (and your penalty killing) kept you in it through 40. Plattsburgh also missed on a penalty shot so they had more opportunities to score as well. I will agree they let it get away in the third, but Plattsburgh carried play for most of this game.

Now they have to beat Cartland tonight, or they end up in fourth place in the SUNYAC anyway…
 
The game was one sided. I was there and we played really soft most of the game. All of platt's goals were a result of the Lakers not taking their man or poor out let by the defense. First goal Cam got left out to dry with a 3 on 1. Second goal puck catches a jersey and redirects in. Third goal no one picked the third man going to the net. Cam's is injury was really strange. Seemed he caught an edge from his defenseman. He dropped instantly with the contact. Since Thanksgiving the Lakers haven't played very consistent hockey. I was hoping the 2 week rest would have them.

I agree with this assessment. I wasn’t even sure there was contact with anyone. That, combined with the fact he never put that leg down even as he was escorted off the ice, I was wondering about an Achilles injury.

Boy, the college kept this under wraps. Judging by the message he recorded he (and probably the college) knew before this weekend he wasn't going to make it (which is fine - it's not why I attended the game). They were still advertising on the morning of the ceremony, but what would they get from withholding whether he was going to be there or not? I doubt any tickets were sold just to see him walk out to center ice. Attendance looked pretty normal on Saturday...
 
So with the log jam at the top, anyone know where I can find the conference tiebreakers?
 
wow there is going to be some head scratching coming up soon to figure out the YAC,a few more games left then maybe the dust will settle...

For Plattsburgh and Oswego, all the remaining games are "Trap" games !! Genny needs to win out and hope for some traps to spring!
