Subway Holiday Classic (Miami, North Dakota, tOSU, Bemidji)

Re: Subway Holiday Classic (Miami, North Dakota, tOSU, Bemidji)

For your Info St. Cloud last time I checked hasn't been to the Frozen Four ever. What does ripping on the Glas do for you?? Just because Bemidji wasn't given a gift like North Dakota for their building doesn't mean it won't be a state of the art facility. Maybe you should go to www.bemidjievents.com and check out what the new rink will look like so at least you'll have your answers! Is there not only one main entrance to the Ralph where the ticket office is and sioux shop, then it opens up into a concourse around the rink once you go through the gates? I could be wrong on that but last time I was there that's all I saw.

I won't be at the game, but saw your video and it looks like a very nice facility. as an architect, it looks like they made a really nice rink. couldn't tell from the vid, but is this NHL or big sheet? hopefully i'll get up to see it sometime.

We have 3+ very good teams this weekend. this should be some very entertaining hockey. good luck to all, but mostly my 'Hawks.

Evidently all games are going to be available via webcast on fightingsioux.com. You can buy a monthly pass and see all four games.

UND's games will still be the only two that are televised though.

Re: Subway Holiday Classic (Miami, North Dakota, tOSU, Bemidji)

What's funny about this tourney is that no one is paying any attention to Ohio State. Granted they just got beat badly by Ferris State but they did beat Denver 4-0 earlier. I'm just hoping North Dakota doesn't take them lightly looking towards playing Miami on Saturday.

Miami should be the favorite in pretty much every game they play this year including the games this weekend. Most of the players return from last year's Frozen Four team and they've found a goalie replacement that has a .936 save percentage. So far they have lived up to their billing.

IMHO Miami has played as expected so far this year, Ohio State has been a disappointment, Bemidji State has played better than expected, and North Dakota has played as expected.

My hope is we can have some basic home cooking and that BSU and UND can both win their games to solidify their early season success.

If North Dakota wins both games they will show they are truly a national contender this year. If they lose one or both games its back to the drawing board with very tough games at a hot Duluth and Wisconsin.

So a guy who lives on the internet and posts all day on here is infamous?? wow you have low standards....

Dirty is an uber-fan.
He's probably been on more hockey roadtrips in the past year than you've been on in your entire life. ;) :)

Agreed. UND can't be looking past OSU, especially with their current 3 game losing streak. The team had a very good start to the season, and that could all go down the drain if they lose another couple games this weekend.

Miami ... found a goalie replacement that has a .936 save percentage. S

Reichard and Knapp are both sophomores which split time last year. Reichard seems to be getting the majority of the minutes, be that by design or necessity of illness. But Reichard is also the goalie that took us to through the Frozen4.

Your other points are good though. Don't look past Ohio State. Even a mediocre team can get hyped up and play well for a game or two if they have the right focus. While I don't see them taking 2 game this weekend, they have the talent to do well. It's always been a matter of putting that talent to proper use for the Buckeyes.

As a side note, I have to give kudos to the person/committee that developed this schedule for Miami. We're in week 8 or so and after this week we will have played 6 different teams that should contend for a spot in the NCAA (4 OOC). That can only pay dividends down the road.

Go 'Hawks!
