Still Complaining About ESPN...

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Multiple reports that the 'Baseball Tonight' franchise will be significantly impacted by the cuts as well.

ESPN, now instead of 48 minutes per 60 featuring NBA, we give you 59!

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

I used to like their NFL pregame, but no more. .

I can't watch any of the NFL pregame shows and haven't been able to for at least 15 years. Such cheese ball crap and the fantasy reports? Really? This is "news?"

Freaking nerds.

Sometimes I'll listen to a bit of the Packers' pregame on the radio, but that's about it.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Some of this should be obvious. Like the Big Ten coverage is getting gutted, but they're losing 55-60% of the rights to FOX.

ESPN is about the last place I go to for hockey coverage.

Of course, I haven't watched Sportscenter since the early 90s though.

Is there still a reason to in this day and age?
I'll occasionally watch ESPNFC because they actually cover stuff beyond "Premier League! Barcelona and Madrid!" unlike NBC and others.

It seems as if Fox has UEFA and seeing ESPN Caribbean, ESPN holds the rights to Spain, Italy, and German specific football. Possible that they let go of that within the US.

In terms of the rest of it- they seem to be doubling down on the NBA, and getting a lot of money from the fantasy advertisers (since they've let go some key NFL guys).

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

If there is a just god, all of them. The draft is the single most overhyped sports story every year.

It's also been one of their biggest money makers. Peanuts to produce, but people love watching it, for some odd reason or another.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

watching the 7pm SC- who are these people?

The woman talking to Melrose is saying nothing. Maybe in a few weeks, she will know.

But it looks as if they are saving money by going to cheaper, new people. Which is to say, Disney is much like some large companies... duh.

Amen brother!

The draft simply shows that there are literally hordes of people that are literally addicted to the NFL. I'm talking true, like getting the shakes from going 24 hours without an update to what their team ate for lunch, addiction.

This is one of the reasons I want the NFL to fail on an epic scale.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Saw this on Twitter:

The Public: we want the newspeople to stay! Get rid of the shouting heads!
ESPN: Ok, get rid of the newspeople.

More of a reason to watch the EPL instead of SC in the morning.

One wonders if Fox, CBS, or NBC will take a chance on a SC like show again. Lotta talent to try. Just costs more money than doing another action show.
