Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Gawd no!!! Use the TSN gang when they're not busy.

Dunno if this is a pro-Bucci or anti-Bucci. I like Bucci, want to see him do well. He promos the sport like a boss, awesome with the fans, etc.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Bucci is fine as long as he's not in the boorh. Terrible play-by-play guy.

Btw, I think NBCSN does a great job with the NHL and I hope they never lose it.

And Lebatard?

Highly questionable is one of the best things on that network. Comedy gold. Love him.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

So, they lay off a bunch of employees now? This is after they paid the NBA so much money that all the players were doubling their already overinflated salaries?

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Compiling a list of those that have been let go. Feel free to add:

Ed Werner
Scott Burnside
Joe McDonald (Hockey Writer)

Pierre LeBrun

------

@JoeMeloni: ESPN canning all its reporters and keeping all of its personalities. Sounds about right.

As Dartmouth College's Twitter person sent out: Can't wait for Stephen A. Smith to report on hockey. Or something along those lines.

This sucks, I usually liked Pierre's hockey coverage on there, and Burnside had some fantastic stuff.

ESPN is about the last place I go to for hockey coverage.

Of course, I haven't watched Sportscenter since the early 90s though.

Is there still a reason to in this day and age?

I used to like their NFL pregame, but no more. Only time I turn them on now is if they're broadcasting a sporting event I want to watch. It happens but it's rare.

Don't mistake me, I didn't make ESPN my first stop for hockey coverage, just saying that occasionally their staff did put out some good stuff, which I only got via their personal twitter accounts sharing the articles.
