Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

ESPN is scheduling the Consolation Bowl for Alabama and Florida State.

See, here's the thing about ESPN: I don't know if you're serious or not. I don't watch the channel or use its website, but it sounds like something that station would do.

For the amount of money they would make off the game could you blame them? More people would watch that game than all 7 Stanley Cup games combined! Hell more people would watch that than the WS...

My point is more that this would be another example of the station moving away from covering a story or game to making the story/game.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

So they shouldnt show something that will make them boatloads of cash and people will love? It isnt ESPN making it a story if you asked 100 average viewers if they would watch what do you think they would say?

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Wait, so this is a legit thing?
No, but I bet the suits in Bristol are kicking themselves they didn't think of it before the playoff schedule was announced.

E$PN doesn't care who wins, they just want penetration and ad $.

Many girls want penetration...

They would say, "Yes, I would love to watch Florida State get trounced again."

Oh, I'm sorry, watch Florida State "give another game away"

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Just watched the E60 ProFiles of Suh and Marshawn Lynch.

Both were excellent.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

@PeteAbe: ESPN picks up two early #RedSox games: April 12 at #Yankees and May 3 vs. #Yankees. Both at 8:05 now.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Some interesting takes in the comments section. My favorite is this:

Since he is an Insider this is fraud. People who subscribe to espn insider pay for the information they receive. This guy is altering the content, after the fact. That is fraud! If espn doesn't fire this guy, then they know all about the fraud, and don't care. Who knows what other fraudulent things they are doing.

While I think it sounds good, I'm not sure this actually qualifies as fraud.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Geez I don't know. They've got their work cut out for them with CNN's coverage last night of snow in NYC with the Blizzardmobile.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

The money grab of all time... Cricket is a niche sport in the USA, but it has its followers (mostly folks from the British Empire and it's former colonies) - including me. When ESPN won the US and Caribbean rights to the Cricket World Cup (starts next weekend from Australia and New Zealand), they said it would be on ESPN3 for US viewers.

No more.

The *******kers have decided to charge $100 to watch the WC. The trouble is, the games start at 8:20 or 10:20 in the evening (EST) and run for about 8 hours. So who is going to be watching other than the occasional insomniac or rabid fan from the sub continent?
