St. Paul Frozen Four 2018: ND, UMD, OSU, MI

Makes me want more Frozen Fours in Tampa.

My friend asked if we wanted to go to the Twins game Saturday. I was all the nope. While I don't mind sitting in 33 degree weather to watch my football team, I'm not doing it for a baseball game I don't care about.
Funny you say this.. if this were Iowa Football, I wouldn’t even bat an eye and I’d be ready to tailgate at 7am. Even as a Twins fan, I’m on the fence and I already have tickets.:p

Re: St. Paul Frozen Four 2018: ND, UMD, OSU, MI

Don’t understand the scheduling aside from they just decided west plays first game and east plays the second? Highest seed is playing the late game and closest team playing the day game. I know a lot of UMD fans who will go Saturday if they win but nobody is going to the Thursday semi.

TV decides which game is first and which game is second. While UMD has as many COLLEGE HOCKEY fans as most any team and will have more fans in the X than any of the other three teams, there are no casual UMD fans or casual college hockey fans. An athletic contest between Notre Dame and Michigan will draw a few extra eyeballs. In tv nowadays, its about drawing one extra set of eyes, and that set will come from a casual fan.

Tomorrow! :D

I'm surprised Denver hasn't hosted in a while. Anyone know why?

Have they even bidded on it? Denver was phenomenal (despite some bad weather) when they hosted. I'm so in if they host again.

There was a lot of talk that they were in the mix when the Boston, Tampa, Chicago, and St. Paul sites were announced. I'm not sure that they actually bid though. FWIW, it's supposed to be 67 today in Denver, and 63 on Saturday. Of course, it is supposed to be 44 and a wintry mix on Friday...but not too bad. :p:D:D

I would take 44 in a heartbeat right now.

The Twins have their home opener this afternoon at 3:00 - outside at Target Field - and it's sold out! So no more complaining here about having to walk a couple of blocks to the warm and friendly confines of the X! :)
