St. Norbert 2015-16 Season

Re: St. Norbert 2015-16 Season

A couple forwards who didn't practice the last few days. I'm not on-site so I shouldn't say for sure but I believe there are a couple injured players.

Re: St. Norbert 2015-16 Season

I'd vote for Babson. Personally I only want to see SNC ranked #1 once - the last poll of the season.

St Thomas is gonna be a tough one next week...

Babson had a much more impressive win over the weekend. I'd vote for them.

What's the first rule of Fight Club again...?

Re: St. Norbert 2015-16 Season

Obviously polls are subjective and I certainly don't know much about any team SNC hasn't played. What else is there to talk about? I thought our team had an excellent weekend and are now 10-1-1 so that's about as good as it could be. Looking forward to seeing my son in person, at home, a week from today. That's the most exciting thing for me!

Re: St. Norbert 2015-16 Season

So, 18 of 20 in USCHO voted SNC #1 with Babson #2 for this week. As someone mentioned earlier SNC has been ranked #1 many times before. I just looked it up and this is week 72 of them being #1 trailing Norwich's 77 weeks for most all-time. Since my son is one of the freshmen it's a first for us.

A little more trivia, this is the 253rd straight week of them being ranked and they've been ranked 291 times out of 297 all-time polls since its inception. Certainly something for the school and coaches to be proud of.

Just discovered D3.com has SNC #1 and Adrian #2. So atop both polls. Tough game this weekend so we'll see if they can hold it.

Since you're new @ SNC, be prepared for people mixing up your coach with the coach of the NY Giants.

That poll info is all right from St. Norberts weekly game notes. They have the best game notes and media guides I've ever seen in d3 and it really isn't even close. The SID there is incredible.

Re: St. Norbert 2015-16 Season

Agreed. They have a complete history of the program as well as the weekly notes you speak of; comprehensive...since I'm new to all this it's interesting to learn about their history.

My son and I had heard "St. Norbert" mentioned many times while he was playing Jr. and people spoke in pretty glowing terms about it. It's exceeded expectations as my son really likes the school, the coaching, of course the guys on the team, and they are treated so well it's what you'd hope college hockey would be like. We feel quite fortunate to be sure.
