St. Cloud State at Minnesota-Duluth: Two Whole Weeks of These People? Joy...

Huskies really bounced back from the poor effort yesterday. I like how this team never quits. They are improving and have the good fortune of an 11-1-2 record this year. They haven't dominated every game but they find ways to win every weekend which is a good indication of a "great" team.

What is the best start in the D1 era for SCSU?

Back in 2001-02 we were 12-1-1 after 14. That's pretty good.

That would have been my guess 2001 team.

St. Cloud improves to 8-0-0 on the road. Currently leading the NCHC by 4 points. Ranked #1 in the PWR. Also will be ranked #1 in the BucciMane poll tomorrow night. lol

All hail the champions of December!

But seriously, pretty nifty season you guys are putting together.

Controlled this one from the puck drop.

Re: St. Cloud State at Minnesota-Duluth: Two Whole Weeks of These People? Joy...

Overall records from 2001-2002 through 2011-2012
Minnesota-Duluth: 206-182-53
St. Cloud State: 215-175-48

Seasons with More Losses Than Wins
Minnesota Duluth: 5
St. Cloud State: 2

NCAA Titles
Minnesota-Duluth: 1
St. Cloud State: 0

If you have a smart remark, at least have some stats to back it up.
NCAA Tournament Wins:
UMD 8
SCSU 3

NCAA Tournament Wins:
UMD 8
SCSU 3

Also accurate. The moral of this story is that while St. Cloud has had more above average/excellent regular seasons than the Bulldogs, UMD has taken advantage of their situation better than the Huskies have.

Re: St. Cloud State at Minnesota-Duluth: Two Whole Weeks of These People? Joy...

For the weekend, Faragher brought his A game while tUMD goaltenders brought their C or D level games. The non goaltender participants were pretty even for the entire weekend with tUMD having the edge on Friday while the Huskies skated better on Saturday. tUMD goalies can step up as indicated on most second games of series this year, but consistency is an issue. A would guess Faragher is not having consistency issues which is why St. Cloud has lost only 1 game this year.

Saw this asked on Twitter but it was a good question, when the last time a UMD goalie stole a game for us?

May have been before your day, but Issac stole a lot of games for us.
