St. Cloud State at Alaska-Anchorage - Hoping Not For a Split

Re: St. Cloud State at Alaska-Anchorage - Hoping Not For a Split

We didn't deserve that win.
Glad they were able to dig deep and get it in a game they played just awful in.

How about the howling seawolf on your ears? Did you watch the UAA feed with the really bad ads?

The ads are so charming though. I especially like the one with those plumbers dudes.

On another note, Gunderson falling on his face when the stream came back for OT could have been an omen.

That was god awful. SCSU and UAA were the only two WCHA teams I had yet to see this season and I'm giving SCSU the benefit of the doubt (and a mulligan) for that one. I'm not sure the Huskies won it so much as UAA just handed it back.

UAA is not very good. Gunderson impressed me not at all. Losing like that-at home...........Whew.

You ain't lying... I feel like our women's team would have buried more goals than 4 in that game (and if you don't know, our women's team is lousy). Unfortunately the feed just got going as they scored their third so I can't speak to whether they looked good, we looked bad or a combo to start the game, but after that SCSU looked lazy at times, but honestly I thought they moved the puck well for most of the game but finished terribly. UAA could have handed us a lot more goals than 4.

The nice thing about the night: I'll take an actual victory over a moral one any day. A win tonight and we are sitting pretty good through 5 WCHA series.

I think that sufficiently describes it...

So did anyone actually go to the game or pay for feed and see the goals? It tuned in to most of us right as they scored number 3. Curious how much was UAA looking good, SCSU looking bad

The Video was free. It jsut didn't come on until after UAA scored their three goals. Huskies dominated the 2nd and third period and deserved the 2 points.

The video feed worked for me the first time I tried streaming it. The game was 3-1. I had to work late and wasn't able to watch the game until part way through the second. It did start buffering like crazy the last couple minutes of the game, froze right as the puck was about to go in on the OT goal but overall I am impressed for a free feed. Looked better to me then the americaone/B2TV feeds that are $9. It's great that UAA makes this available. :)

If only more fans would appreciate the free feed instead of complaining. Unbelievable.

Exactly, Suze. Although I do worry that the free feed/GCI channel 1 showing lessens turnout at the home games. Even so, it probably doesn't affect it
by much and is still a good way to get people who would otherwise not see the games a chance to participate. But yeah, UAA sets a shining example
where their free feed is concerned.

I've been complaining about that for years. Declining attendance and they put the games on TV and the internet for free. Doesn't sound like a smart decision by the powers that be. I appreciate seeing the game from afar, and it's nice that parents can watch their kids play, but attendance has dropped off every year since they started airing the games.

If you remember, the Aces were going to have their playoff games televised, but only if the Sully was sold out. It wasn't sold out and there was no TV coverage. THEY get it.

I will be rooting for the seawolves for the rest of the year. Unless we play you guys again. Good luck. You obviously have smart players..

Re: St. Cloud State at Alaska-Anchorage - Hoping Not For a Split

The sad part is that I am not surprised by the outcome of this series. UAA is ok!

Thanks, I know it sounds cliche, but UAA is better than their record. They have now tied and beat three nationally ranked teams, and all but one of their games have been close, overtime or one goal games. They will surprise some people this season.
