One of my favorite events-the dark haired lovely on the Swiss team has got my full attention.(don't even mind the small piercing on her left nose or the pierced tongue)

I haven't been able to catch any of the curling events due to the time their on, but she looked good in Vancouver.

Putin and openly gay athlete embrace.


Dutch speedskater Ireen Wust and Russian President Vladimir Putin got a little cozy at the Holland Heineken House on Sunday night after the day's events.

"I got a cuddle from him," Wust told Dutch national broadcaster NOS.

That simple statement raised some eyebrows considering Wust is one of the few openly gay athletes at the Winter Games — though some emailers have mentioned she’s bisexual — and Putin has been very vocal about Russian laws regarding homosexuality, especially as it pertains to the Games.

IMO Weir is doing very well as an analyst. I kind of expected him to be as flamboyant an analyst as he was as a skater or as he dresses, but he's been quite thoughtful and informative.

I much prefer him and Tara Lipinski to Scott Hamilton and whoever the woman is on prime time. Get rid of them and go with Weir/Lipinski for 2018.
