Swap Callahan and Kane and I think the forward lines are all pretty solid. Kane with Kesler and Brown is just dumb. I hope Miller is at the top of his game and that the Team USA staff realizes Quick isn't an elite goaltender before Thursday (he can play against Slovenia). And if Howard touches the ice during actual game play, we're screwed.

Yeah, I thought that Kane with those two was a curious decision. Guess it gives him some scrap to go with his finesse game.

Meanwhile....

Initially, the four lines were shaped like this (left-to-right): Chris Kunitz-Crosby-Jeff Carter; Patrick Sharp-Jonathan Toews-Rick Nash; John Tavares-Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry; Patrick Marleau-Patrice Bergeron-Jamie Benn.

But then Marleau replaced Tavares alongside Getzlaf and Perry, and Tavares moved to centre between Benn on the left side and Bergeron on the right.

The four defence pairings were: Duncan Keith-Shea Weber; Jay Bouwmeester-Alex Pietrangelo; Marc-Edouard Vlasic-Drew Doughty; Dan Hamhuis-P.K. Subban.

Duchene and St. Louis were the spares.

I dunno about Eve Muirhead. I can't get past the hair.

Also, Ashley Wagner? The one who people were saying they took her over Mirai Nagasu because she's pretty even though Nagasu finished ahead of her at the US Championships? I think she's horse-faced. Sorry, but I do.

Edit to add: Buzzfeed's list has Crosby in it and is therefore bullcrap.

Bylsma said he decided on a starter but won't announce it. Miller spoke to the press, Quick did not.

God f*king dam*t. Stupid motherf*ing Comcast didn't record everything today for me and trying to figure out how to watch godd*m f*king replays on NBC's steaming pile of **** website basically ruined everything only to find out I can't watch them until tomorrow. Way to f*king go NBC. Can't these asstards figure out that most people don't want results on a replay page!?!

I f*ing hate NBC.

As a Wings and Jimmy Howard fan, I concur. I only fear that he's going to get hurt by tripping over some exposed wiring in the press box. For his own safety, I hope he's placed in a protective bubble and shipped back to Detroit immediately.

They can keep Redbird Three fueled up at Metro Airport for a charter to Sochi if needed.

IIRC correctly, Kane-Kesler-Brown were a line last Olympics so maybe he's hoping lightning strikes twice.

That would most likely mean Miller getting injured, at which point we're probably screwed anyway. Neither Quick nor Howard has been stellar in NHL action this year.
