SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

 after watching the past few weeks i am just wondering where our team has gone... none of the boys are playing the game they know how to play. I really liked a post i read on Face book last night.... "We need some senior leadership"
maybe this would get the boys moving..... :(

It hasn't been good lately. Every guy in the locker room has some "fault" with the recent "slide." They're the only ones who can turn it around.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Typically fans are not leaving the game early at the stone, but boy guess I can't blame people for bailing early last night.
this is what - third consecutive Friday night loss?
Not saying that we are spoiled, but darn this is not the team we know they are!

Absolutely agree! Another thought is for everyone to stop comparing last year to this year. Last year is over and it is about time the players begin to realize this or it will be a very short season!

A much better effort this afternoon. Nice to see the Senior leadership to hopefully right the ship. Welcome back Cody!

SNC got back to playing their game today vs Superior in posting the 4 -- 1 victory.
Keefer led the way with two first period goals. Hoogenboom and Stroh contributed single goals.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Yes much better game tonight still not our team 100% . But we'll take the W. Still way to many turnovers. I liked seeing more effort all around tonight though.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Last nights game was a much better Friday night game then we have been seeing from the boys. Third period didn't look so well... now if we can just get three good periods we'll be were we should be. Also with the injuries on the team we need to see a few others step up. :) Go SNC just stay focused and we got this. :)

NOW THAT WAS OUR SNC BOYS BACK PLAYING LIKE THEY KNOW HOW TO PLAY! Nice game EVERYONE :)

Congrats to the SNC players that have been selected for All NCHA honors: Stroh, Keefer, Ekstrom, Jacobson, Zepeda and Cooper.

It sure would be great to see a student following for the knights. What a great venue at Stevens Point last Saturday with the student section supporting their team. Nothing out of line just college students being students. I hear the Ripon fans were great at the basketball game at SNC this week. It is sad that the SNC students can not expirenice this as the current SNC AD will not allow it. Students enjoy playing before their peers but it very difficult with our current AD as students don't even attend

The Ripon student section outnumbered the SNC students by about 10 to 1. With the noise they made, it sounded like a home game for the visitors.
Pretty sad!!

Explain why this is Bald's fault.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Great to see some of the boys get rewarded for their hard work this season. I know they appreciate being recognized and none are there for the individual awards they are focused on another trip to LP! What I have a hard time understanding is how did the powers to be name Stephenson the player of the year? Statistically he's not even the best in the conference. I know David had a couple rough outings but he was still the better goalie. Yes, Stephenson had a very good season and should have been recognized for that but to be voted the player of the year I think is a stretch...just my 2 cents.
Good luck tonight and tomorrow boys!

You may have had a tough time seeing it, but there were more SNC students there than Ripon students. However, the noise ratio generated by Ripon was 10:1. I think a couple of the student section ringleaders from the past couple of years have graduated and nobody has stepped up.

I will respond to Cheese4ever's baseless claim once he responds to snc1.

My corner view was a bit obstructed, but I did notice a small group of SNC students on the far end of the south stands.
They did stand for awhile, but "noise-wise" could not compare to the Rowdy Ripon supporters.

Ripon was fighting for its life. Still no excuse for what happened though. Our fan base for all sports, both students and otherwise, have gotten pretty spoiled over the years I think. It's led to a lot of pick-and-choose as for what games to attend.

Brandon set a new single season wins record and a new career wins record for UWEC. To my thinking, giving him the player of the year is deserving. This does not take anything away from Jacobson, it recognizes a very good body of work by Brandon Stephenson.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

I am taking nothing away from the season Brandon had but stats are the most important criteria for voting. I just don't think he is the conference MVP...my opinion. He led in wins and winning percentage. DJ led in save percentage (splitting hairs, I know), GAA and games played.
Just check out the stats on the link below...

Good luck to all in the playoffs!

Hopefully the numbers increase with the playoff season starting tonight!!
