Guys, congrats on the win on Friday. You guys won the key 1v1 battles and though Harvard had more SOG, you won the battles in the trenches - where most games in the ECAC are won and lost.
Not sure if this point has been raised, but I thought Petzian was outstanding against Harvard. Harvard did put a lot of shots into his mid-section, but nontheless, he consistently held his ground and his positioning was outstanding.
Given that performance, I was SHOCKED to see Tisin starting against Dartmouth. I know that hindsight is 20/20, but given Petzian's performance, I thought "riding the hot goalie" was imperative for a road game against a desperate Dartmouth team.
Good luck the rest of the way and just my 2 cents....

I thought that this would be of interest to SLU fans. According to D1 Recruits thread on the Women's forum, the SLU women's team has received a commitment from Dallas Boyd, a deaf hockey player who plays forward. Here is a link to an article about her http://ontariohockey.com/story/27/M...k’s_Boyd_continues_to_overcome_adversity.aspx.
Thanks, Ralph. That is a great story.
Happy Thanksgiving everybody.
I can't really remember if it was the first game I saw--actually I doubt it--but over Thanksgiving break my frosh year I saw us BEAT the Spartans. I remember how awed I was that a team from a little school could beat a major state university. And I still am--and incredibly proud of it! Go Larries!

I thought that you guys didn't like being called Larries. I know that we had a discussion on this many years ago on HockeyL.
FWIW, the first SLU game I saw was in Troy early in my sophomore year, 65-66, a 4-0 SLU victory. (That was holding it close for that RPI team.) At least it was the first one that I have a program for. If I attended the one the previous season, I didn't buy a program.
Brian, it would be fine with me if the Giants went undefeated for 3 straight seasons IF the Yankees never won again regardless of how much they spent on their payroll!I do hate the Giants though...and them stealing an undefeated season from the Patriots did not help!!
I have no idea who SLU played the first time I saw them. It may have been Plattsburgh State....I am pretty sure I remember their first win (in the league) which was against Princeton after they started 0-7 in Joe's first year...and finished 16-15!! Have been a college hockey fan since a long time before that from watching D-2 Bowdoin College. St. Lawrence Hockey took it to a whole new level though as I think you could argue the two best recruiting classes ever (both Joe Classes) of 1988 and (my original class) of 1989. There were 5 All-Americans in those two classes and would/should have been at least seven with P. Lappin, Lammens, Yearwood, Hurlbut and McColgan and Baker and McGeough respectively. Still think Baker would have given Lane MacDonald a run for his money on the Hobey in 1989 had he not been injured while leading the nation in scoring at Christmas. I still wonder what might have been had Dietrich and Gustafson not left so early after the 2000 season. I wonder what might have been in 2001.
Funny thing, but SLU Hockey brings out the best, and the worst, in me!!!And, yes, who got paid to come up with the name, "Larries"? Perhaps a CCT Alum. was paid off.
Isn't "Larries" derived from St. "Lawrence"?After all, Larry is short for Lawrence.
Thanks. I hope so too!First off, congratulations on the Bobcats. I hope you guys go a long way.
