You beat me to it. But I was going to say that a drought of 3 years is bad by our standards but the fact your rivals expect you to be in the top ~30% of teams is at least a little flattering.

Did something happen to Dirty in another thread? I saw him at Friday night's game and he was pretty adamant about never posting on this board again.

It does have audio, just not the broadcast audio. What it plays is the traffic between the cameramen/producer/trailer staff to get the shots lined up.

It works nicely, but has a big delay compared to the live broadcast. Would work nicely if you don't have access to FSN, though.

My prediction for the series.

Friday: Gophers win 7-0. Grimaldi goes out for warm ups, sees the Gopher cheerleaders and "shoots" himself in the eye during a pregame bathroom break. He spends the first period skating in circles before Hakstol gives him the finger....er hook. Dell pulls his groin trying to stop what becomes Rau's second goal of the night. Rocco, inspired, then recedes to the locker room to pull his own groin.

Saturday: Gophers win 12-0. Hakstols plays only his 4th line for 3 minutes straight while all of his other players are serving roughing penalties. Rather than going to the locker room between periods, Hastol stays on the bench and gives the finger to anyone looking in his direction.

Fasching and Cammarata both commit to the Gophers!

That was a great game!:D We hardly finished doing the Rouser after the Lucia goal when Cepis scored less than ten seconds later!

The night before that was fun too, not to mention loud, when Cepis ripped a wrister from the slot to tie the game(which ultimately ended in a tie but it was still awesome to tie it up late).

I just hope this is a good series and I want Mariucci to be frigging ELECTRIC!! We haven't seen a Gopher team playing this well in many years and if you can't come out and be loud for a series against sue then I don't when you would! Gosh, this is gonna be fun!

LOL I know - I think my voice is STILL sore from yelling that much that night - Too bad it is opening of deer season or I would be there in person this weekend as well. :D

I will be there for both! Not going to miss a second of the action win, lose, or draw! Should be fun no matter the outcomes!

despite all the talk from sioux fans that the gophers only have garbage wins this year (sacred heart and vermont.. and for some reason they ignore sweeps in duluth and alaska- which ill go out on a limb and predict MN is the only team that will sweep in both cities this year).. I think it is the sioux that are going to be startled by the jump in competition friday night. st cloud couldnt go tape to tape if their life depended on it saturday night.. the gophers have looked great with their puck movement AND have been playing more phyical than st cloud did this weekend.. the gophers have looked much much better than st cloud and wisconsin.. im not sure the young sioux will be ready for the gophers game 1 (yes the gophs are young too- maybe even younger- but even their freshman all look very good at the ncaa level already).

all that being said- I have an odd feeling about friday night. I feel like predicting the gophers outplay the sioux but somehow get the loss.. then bounce back and win a tight game saturday. either way im kinda feeling a split.. and sioux fans can say what they want about the pressure being on the gophers- but with the start the sioux have had- they cannot keep dropping conference games. yes its only november- but any less than a split and the sioux are going to be in a bigger hole than they dug already. ALL of the pressure is on the sioux this weekend.

Lucia has commented before that you don't win championships in October, November, but you CAN lose them. Get your PWR too far in the hole and you won't make the tourney unless you manage to win out in the Final Five.

I just hope the Gopher coaches can keep them focused on this weekends games and not take these cellar dwelling Sue too lightly, with next weekend being a real test at Becky.
