As a Gopher fan, that is embarrassing. Nothing against UMD, I just can't believe he couldn't tell the teams part. How long was he watching before you told him?

I've watched the Bulldogs football team and decided to pretend they were the Gophers...

He was just another a gopher fan blinded by his Minnesota obsession. :)

Perfect, and less than 15 words. You could even ended it with 4 Rau's and been good.... (the new "rah")

Sweep would really be nice.

About an hour - at first I thought it was funny (I assumed that he would finally realize it) but then it just kept going and became annoying (partly because it WASNT the gophers and because we all know we sucked back then) and then it just started ****ing me off so at the second intermission I went over there and "politely" told him he was a dou che bag and that he was embarrassing himself..... He didn't say a word the rest of the time I was there.

It was a smorgasbord of topics, but a main theme has been empty seats vs full arena with many many side bars included.

Edit: I've seen Gopher Sioux threads locked and a new one started before it's all done, this is well on it's way. :)

I think the Sioux have a very shaky sense of confidence at this point (with a pourous defense and anemic offense, no wonder) and could get swept decisively. There some very good young talent there, but they just aren't strong up and down the lineup.

Empty Seats, Biggest Rival, Red Pepper, Goons, Stolen Traditions, Underage Girls, Rocco vs Rau, Abusive and Hostile.

Oh, and a little hockey talk too :)

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify North Dakotan hockey fans and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you Sioux fans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Sioux fans are a disease, a cancer of this planet. Sioux fans are a plague and MN fans are the cure.

I love the smell of hockey gear in the morning. You know, one time we had an opposing net shot at, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink puck that missed. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole net. Smelled like........victory. Someday this rivalry's gonna end...
