Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

Re: Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

Penalty on Bergin. Just as I finish Polacek gets stoned.

Re: Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

Polacek has an excellent shortie chance right off the face-off but gets stonewalled by Kincaid.

Re: Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

I've heard three different pronunciations of Chase Polacek's last name. I didn't know Schenectady completely ignored everything in Troy.

Holy crap Jerry, way to blast by all five Union guys on the way to the net there.

Re: Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

JD'A had another chance towards the end of the PK.

Successfully killed. Still 1-0 RPI. About 7:45 into the second.

Re: Showdown in the Capital District (RPI @ UC 1/15/10)

Last few games our offense on the penalty kill has been significantly better than on 5 on 5.

I love how a cheer starts off as "Let's Go Red" and turns into "Let's go U Red U U" with all three U's coming in at different times.

You can tell what they've doing during the majority of practice time. Or, at least a good guess.

It was mentioned in a previous thread that Coach Vines' first project when he got to RPI was the PK. It has showed the past several weeks.

Shots are 3-3 this period. Not sure on the time left in the period. Still 1-0 on the big board.

Ah, Dartmouth/Union syndrome. Lazy fans waiting for RPI fans to start with the "Let's Go" before trying to shout "Green" or "U" over the "Red."
